SAG-AFTRA National Executive Director and Chief Negotiator, Duncan Crabtree-Ireland, is attending New York Comic Con on Oct. 14 for the panel “AI in Entertainment: The Performer’s Perspective.”
The event comes in the wake of Crabtree-Ireland’s appearance at San Diego Comic-Con, soon after the actors strike began in mid-July, where he led a panel for voiceover actors, discussing their rights, as well as a pitstop at the Toronto International Film Festival where he had both a sitdown, and a teamed picket with Canada’s commercial actors who’ve been suffering a long contract lockout.
The news of Crabtree-Ireland’s Nycc appearance in ten days is, of course, coming as the SAG-AFTRA Chief Negotiator is today back at the bargaining table with the CEO Gang of Four –Universal’s Donna Langley, Disney’s Bob Iger, Warner Bros’ David Zaslav and Netflix’s Ted Sarandos– in pursuit of a new three-year...

If anything can really mess with your head it’s family. In horror movies this is a trope used a lot, the return to the family home to find the truth from the past, which is always a good place to start for a film. An example of a film that uses this is The Invoking.
When Samantha (Trin Miller) and a few of her friends travel to her home town Sader Ridge to inspect a property she’s inherited it’s not long before she starts to experience violent visions within the house. Trying to discover the truth about her past the answers may come from Eric (D’Angelo Midlili) the creepy caretaker, though he may be part of...

With Image Entertainment set to release the horror feature The Invoking to DVD/VOD this coming February 18th, we thought it high time to touch base with the flick’s sales agent Jesse Baget, and the result was a batch of behind-the-scenes production stills, as well as word on the film.
Directed by Jeremy Berg, who co-wrote with John Portanova from a story by Berg and Matt Medisch, The Invoking stars Trin Miller, Brandon Anthony, D'Anagelo Midili, Andi Norris and Josh Trux, and revolves around the character of Samantha (Miller), who, when visiting her ancestral home, finds that forgotten memories begin to seep back to the surface. As her sanity slowly unravels, she finds herself unable to tell the difference between reality and a series of terrifying visions... visions she soon discovers may be tied to a horrifying past deeply buried in her memory, a past she cannot escape.

We return with the latest edition of the Indie Spotlight, highlighting recent independent horror news sent our way. Today’s feature includes release details for A Resurrection, the first teaser trailer for Ten, a review of Smiley, and much more:
First Teaser Trailer for Ten: “Ten is a collectivist, post-exploitation psychological thriller devised as a possible explanation for the events of the 1972 Spektor Island Massacre. On a cold December afternoon, ten women arrive at a mansion on Spektor Island, famed for years of reported hauntings and strange activities. Will they live through the night?
The all-female cast film is a response to exploitation, slasher, and thriller films, with particular focus on the kind of storytelling prominent in b-movies and genre films from the 1950s to the 1980s. It explores the meaning and fluidity of identity and takes a number of surprising turns, paying homage to filmmakers and producers such as Alfred Hitchcock,...

Have you ever been really wrong about something? I don't mean something little like picking the wrong horse in a race or thinking that a young Chastity Bono would be the next Bo Derek. I mean Really wrong ... like thinking, "I'm sure this ex-prostitute/recovering meth-head will make a great stepmom for my kids. She's an Ex-prostitute and Recovering meth-head." In the new short film The Resolution, we see a guy make a Really wrong move.
The Resolution is actually part of a larger anthology film entitled Rick Tobin's Twisted Tales of Madness and Murder, but Uncle Creepy told me if I didn't make my headlines shorter, he was going to waterboard me mercilessly. So, needless to say, there was no way I was mentioning that title in the header.
The Resolution stars Erwin Galan, Tabitha Bastien, Nathan McWalters and Andi Norris. It was written by the aforementioned Rick Tobin and directed by Rick Walters.
