Barthelemy Maunoury (Bart) is the animation director for the Arcane series.
After graduating from Gobelins, Bart moved to England, where he worked as a Character Animator at Framestore, notably on the film Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.
Over the course of five years, he honed his skills in realistic animation. He then alternated between France, expanding his expertise to include character design and various animation styles. Bart progressed from Character Animator to Animation Director, contributing to projects such as A Monster in Paris, The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn, The Minions, Sing, and Asterix: The Domain of the Gods.
In 2012, his fascination with the band Gorillaz led him to work on one of their music videos, directed by Fortiche Production. This collaboration established a strong connection, and following the project, Bart and Fortiche Production maintained their relationship.
Thus, when the Arcane project was conceived, it was natural for Pascal, Jérôme, and Arnaud to reach out to him.
