How did we get here? The Dancing with the Stars season 33 finale came too fast! This has been an incredible season with an amazing cast that includes NBA star Dwight Howard, The Bachelor Joey Graziadei, and actress Chandler Kinney. But as much as we love watching the fun dances, the couples bonding during practice, and the themes every week, there’s also a lot of stress that comes with watching the show.
For starters, a couple is eliminated amost every week, and we hate to see our favorites go! Not to mention, it’s also stressful watching the performances because we don’t want the teams to make any mistakes. Finally, one of the things I struggle with the most is picking one team to root for. I can never do it! I always love several. This season, for example, I was rooting Stephen and Rylee, Chandler and Brandon, and Ilona and Alan.

Viewers vented their frustrations about how Dancing With the Stars ended their Season 33 Semi-Finals episode due to what some called a “ridiculous” twist.
The Week 8 competition featured just five couples vying for the Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy.
They included last week’s top two couples: The Bachelor star Joey Graziadei with Jenna Johnson and actress Chandler Kinney with Brandon Armstrong.
Fan-favorite celebrities Ilona Maher, Stephen Nedoroscik, and Danny Amendola also remained hopeful about winning the season.
In Week 7, viewers saw former NBA star Dwight Howard and his dance partner, Daniella Karagach, get eliminated from the show.
However, the latest stage of ABC’s dance competition featured what some DWTS fans called a “stunt” regarding sending one of the couples home.

“Dancing with the Stars” is close to the end of Season 33, but first the remaining couples will have to get through the “Semi-Finals” to earn a spot in the grand finale. Having somehow survived last week’s instant dance challenges, where they had to perform routines mere minutes after learning their music and dance styles, the celebs will now have to perform another two routines, though this time they had the full rehearsals week to prep both dances, so they might be breathing a relative sigh of relief. But the stakes are sky-high with the finale on the line. Scroll down for our live blog with all our minute-by-minute commentary as the night progresses.

“It’s sad to see him go, but also kind of the right time based on who’s left in the competition and what their skill levels are,” argues Gold Derby editor Daniel Montgomery about the elimination of basketball player Dwight Howard from “Dancing with the Stars” at the end of the show’s “500th Episode” celebration. He discussed that ouster and debated who will be next to go with contributors Jeffrey Kare and Cordell Martin in this week’s slugfest. Watch it above.

It was Dwight Howard’s last dance on Dancing with the Stars, and viewers seemed delighted about the big man’s elimination.
The 6-foot-10 basketball star became the tallest contestant ever to appear on DWTS, and his professional dance partner, Daniella Karagach, taught him brilliantly.
However, viewers felt five other pairs were more deserving of moving closer to claiming the Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy.
Among them were frontrunners, including Chandler Kinney with Brandon Armstrong, Joey Graziadei with Jenna Johnson, and Danny Amendola with Witney Carson.
Many individuals took to social media to express their happiness over the latest elimination as their favorites remained safe for another week of the competition.
Some even mentioned Howard’s legendary basketball teammate in unmerciful and savage remarks about him leaving the show.

The 500th episode of Dancing With the Stars was such an exciting night as we watched the performers prepare to head into the semi-finals for season 33. But first, we were treated with an choreographed routine set to the song “Crazy In Love” by Beyonce and Jay-Z, which was the song used in the series premiere on June 1, 2005.
Amazingly enough, one of the pro dancers was born days after the series premiere, which was Rylee Arnold. Is anyone else feeling their age right now? But anyway, the night was full of amazing routines and we even got the return of pro dancer Sharna Burgess, who has not been on the show for a few seasons now, but returned to take part in the opening routine.

“Dancing With the Stars” hit a new milestone on Nov. 12, and revealed who was heading to the semifinals for Season 33. The 500th episode opened with pros — including returning favorite Sharna Burgess — for the opening number, “Crazy in Love,” the same opening number from the 2005 series premiere. Many past competitors returned to the ballroom, including Adam Rippon, Ginger Zee, Kaitlyn Bristowe, Alyson Hannigan, Aj McLean and Simone Biles.

Well lookee here … we have something to celebrate! It’s the 500th episode of Dancing with the Stars, and popular pro Sharna Burgess has returned to help open up the show with a jaunty number to “Crazy in Love” — the same exact song the troupe danced to when the variety show launched in 2005.
To help mark the milestone, the final six couples have been asked to recreate numbers from DWTS‘ deep past. I’m going to go out on a limb and predict that absolutely no one asked to revisit the cha cha performed by Sean Spicer in season 28. Who on earth would want to bring back that neon shirt?

Dancing With the Stars Season 33 has been one of the best seasons in years, so we’re excited to see where the hit competition series goes next.
After Jenn Tran and Sasha Farber were eliminated from the show last week, there was a sense that anyone could go next, and we have bad news if you’re expecting a new episode this evening.
The series is on a short-term hiatus.
Like most other networks, ABC will air election night coverage after voting closes.
This isn’t the first time the series has been put on hold this season, so we’re accustomed to schedule shakeups by this point in the show’s run.
The good news is that we already know when to expect the show to return, with Dancing With the Stars Season 33, Episode 8, set to air on Tuesday, November 12, 2024.

Carrie Ann Inaba’s DWTS scoring has riled up fans.
Even as this season of Dancing With The Stars has captivated viewers, one judge has incensed the audience.
And this isn’t even the first time.
Carrie Ann Inaba is often eager to claim that DWTS critics of her are sexist. But critics say that she’s the one who throws women under the bus but hands out high scores to men like it’s Halloween candy.

Dancing With The Stars pro Alan Bersten wasn’t at all pleased with the scores he and Ilona Maher received during the Halloween episode.
Each and every couple performed captivating routines that the audience loved. However, Alan doesn’t think the judges gave him and Ilona a fair score.
Read on and see what he had to say.
Alan Bersten Wanted Better For Ilona Maher On Halloween Night
Alan and Ilona scored a 24/30 for their Tango to “Psycho Killer” by Miley Cyrus. While that certainly wasn’t a score to be dismissive of, all the other couples scored at least one 10. Sadly, that meant Alan and Ilona slipped to the bottom of the leaderboard.

Dwight Howard recently talked about some grueling aspects of Dancing With the Stars, including long practices.
While appearing on Gilbert Arenas’ podcast, Gil’s Arena, he indicated he spent nine hours the other day practicing dances.
“I done lost 15 pounds just dancing,” Howard admitted, adding, “I’m cut up out of lifting weights every day.”
Howard also spoke about his harrowing ordeal during another reality TV competition show.
According to Howard, he experienced “Ptsd” after he participated in Fox’s Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test.
The former Los Angeles Lakers star and NBA Champion revealed his time on that show included all sorts of challenging experiences, such as being “kidnapped and set on fire.”

For season 33, week seven of Dancing With the Stars, the celebrities got to dance to “Halloween Nightmares,” and they all put on amazing performances. Not only did they dance their normal routines, but they also got to face off against one other couple to see who did the best dance off.
Many of the celebrities did an amazing job, with Ilona Maher pulling off a fantastic Tango and Dwight Howard moved his pro partner Daniella Karagach to tears after his amazing Contemporary dance.
They had worked hard on their routine, especially since their height difference meant that often times, he struggled with the routines they did each week. However, the dance he did this week was perfectly executed and it was obvious how proud he made his partner. They even received the first 10 of the season.

Dancing With the Stars‘ “Halloween Nightmares” week has turned into a nightmare for judge Carrie Ann Inaba, who has been slammed by viewers for her “unfair” and “biased” scoring. Tuesday’s (October 29) episode saw the seven remaining couples performing routines revolving around their biggest fears. It was a night of high scoring, as Inaba handed out 10s to Dwight Howard, Danny Amendola, Joey Graziadei, Stephen Nedoroscik, and Jenn Tran (who was eliminated at the end of the episode). However, some fans were upset when Inaba only gave Pretty Little Liars star Chandler Kinney and her pro partner Brandon Armstrong a 9. At the same time, Derek Hough and Bruno Tonioli gave the performance their first 10s of the season. Kinney and Armstrong had performed a Viennese Waltz to the theme song from Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin. Tonioli praised the performance, saying he was “spellbound” and noting how it “had...

Jenn Tran has been a ray of sunshine throughout her Dancing With the Stars Season 33 journey.
The Bachelorette alum’s time on the show concluded during Tuesday’s episode despite being one of the better performers on the ABC hit.
Unfortunately, there is a higher level of talent than in recent years, which has made it difficult to predict who will be sent packing each week.
In addition, judges Derek Hough, Carrie Ann Inaba, and Bruno Tonioli have been called out for not providing consistent feedback this season.
Either way, we went into Tuesday’s new episode knowing anyone could go.
Jenn and pro dancer Sasha Farber performed a contemporary routine to “Vampire” by Olivia Rodrigo as part of the show’s Halloween night.
It was very good, and the judges gave them a score of 28 out of 30, plus three bonus points, for a total score of 31.

Hey, "Dancing With The Stars" fans. Tonight, October 29, 2024, another new results/performances episode for Dancing With The Stars' current season 33 did indeed hit the air, and we saw another unlucky couple get the boot at the end. The theme for tonight's new episode was "Halloween Nightmares." All the judges: Bruno Tonioli, Carrie Ann Inaba and Derek Hough were on hand once again. Ilona Maher and Alan Bersten kicked off tonight's performances with a Tango number. Afterwards, Bruno said, "I could see your hard work, especially on your frame, but you need to refine the footwork." Carrie Ann said, "I'm seeing growth. Everything is a little bit better. You lost balance a couple of times, though." Derek said, "Your footwork needs work." Carrie Ann gave Ilona an 8 score, Derek an 8, Bruno an 8 for a total of 24 points out of a possible 30 points. Dwight Howard and Daniella Karagach served up a Contemporary number.

Spoiler Alert: This story contains spoilers from the Oct. 29 episode of “Dancing With the Stars.”
For Halloween, the celebrities on “Dancing With the Stars” took on their nightmares, each performing a routine inspired by their biggest fears — from snakes, the boogeyman and killers, to dolls, the dark and vampires. And their biggest fear may have been elimination because everyone brought their A-games.
Daniella Karagach told partner Dwight Howard that he’d yet to complete a full routine without errors — so he did just that for their very creepy contemporary to “Ring Around the Rosie.” After their impressive routine, both competitors were in tears, explaining that they had overcome a tough week. It paid off — they received the first 10 of the season, and it came from Carrie Ann Inaba.

Tough night to be a baseball and ballroom fan; when it’s Game 4 of the World Series and your team is one W away from taking the championship, should the Viennese waltz really matter?
Hell yes, it should! Thank goodness for multiple TVs and Freddie Freeman. And much obliged to those ABC censors, who kept us from seeing the Bruno bits in that goofy opening sequence with Derek Hough.
Olympic rugby player Ilona Maher with partner Alan Bersten. The judges want to see more dancing from the effervescent athlete, so Bersten packed their tango with plenty of kicks and spins as they hoofed it to “Psycho Killer.” Something clicked for Maher; she was much more graceful this week. “I can really you see work very very hard, especially on the frame,” said judge Bruno Tonioli. “A lot of content, but you still have to refine the foot work … Much better.

Also during the episode, the contestants competed in the dance-offs where two couples at a time performed the same style simultaneously. During each dance-off, the winning couple was awarded an additional 3 points.
Since she had the highest score last week, Chandler Kinney had immunity and didn’t have to participate in the dance-offs. She was automatically given an extra 3 bonus points.
Dancing with the Stars will air live at 8pm Et on ABC, Disney+, and Hulu every Tuesday night until the end of the season.

Golden Bachelorette star Mark Anderson has been in the live studio audience for Season 33 of Dancing With The Stars. His future son-in-law, Joey Graziadei, is competing this season. But Mark only had eyes for Ilona Maher. See his post fanboying over the Olympic medalist and Joey’s DWTS competition.
Mark Anderson For Golden Bachelor?
Mark Anderson has been a Bachelor Nation fan-favorite since he first made an appearance on Season 28 of The Bachelor. His daughter, Kelsey, introduced Joey Graziadei to her family during Hometown Dates. Joey and Kelsey got engaged during the final.
With Kelsey’s encouragement, Mark, 57, joined The Golden Bachelorette as a contestant. But he ultimately didn’t find love with Joan Vassos. He didn’t even make it to Hometowns. But many fans want him as the next Golden Bachelor.

“She performed a jazz routine to ‘Cruella de Vil’ that I thought was kind of lacking. Sorry Val — I thought Val’s choreography didn’t really showcase her very much,” argues Montgomery about her first routine of the night, “and then she was sort of the weak link in the team dance at the end of...

On Instagram, Chandler reminded followers that immunity from the dance-off does not mean immunity from elimination. She and Brandon still need their fans’ votes to keep them moving forward in the competition.

Dancing With the Stars celebrates Disney Night and team dances before the next elimination in week 6
Dancing With the Stars “Disney Night” was full of spectacular performances from the eightt remaining celebrity couples. In addition, they also had team dances that were full of fun and plenty of sparkle to shine through the night. Of course, our least favorite part of the night came when it was time to say goodbye to one couple. It’s getting harder to say goodbye as we reach the end, especially since this season has been filled with so many amazing routines!
With performances to films such as 101 Dalmations, Tarzan, Hercules, The Little Mermaid, and Deadpool, each couple worked hard to get high scores that would reflect the work they have done to make it this far into the competition. Even though there were still some critiques in the routines, it will be something they will have to get used to the closer we get to the finals.
