Julieth Restrepo (pronounced Juliet Reh-strep-oh) is an award-winning Colombian actress and producer. She stars in Netflix's highly anticipated limited series "The Residence," from producer Shonda Rhimes' Shondaland Productions, set for release in early 2025. Described as a murder-mystery-thriller set at The White House, Julieth stars alongside an all-star cast that includes Uzo Aduba, Randall Park, Giancarlo Esposito and Susan Kelechi Watson. Julieth plays 'Elsyie Chayle,' a housekeeper at the White House who is entangled in a high-stakes murder investigation.

Julieth recently had a standout role in Netflix's Emmy nominated limited series "GRISELDA," appearing opposite Sofia Vergara. She played 'Marta Ochoa,' a drug-addicted millionaire, striving to work together with Griselda.

In film, Julieth returned to SXSW 2024 for a second year in a row with her romantic comedy "Switch Up," in the lead role of 'Cassandra,' the romantic opposite of 'Ricardo De La Cruz' (Cristián de la Fuente). She was at SXSW 2023 starring in the thriller "Deadland" as border patrol officer 'Salomé Veracruz,' which is now streaming on Prime. She stars in the Colombian film "Dear Gentlemen", which premiered to great success at the end of 2024, playing the very powerful Colombian women's rights figure Esmeralda Arboleda. Prior credits include a supporting role opposite Javier Bardem in the feature film "Loving Pablo," about the life of notorious drug kingpin Pablo Escobar (Bardem) in which she plays Escobar's wife.

Julieth is a household name in Colombia after garnering multiple awards for her work in television and film. She won Best Supporting Actress at the TV y Novelas for her work in "A Mano Limpia" (2011 and 2013) as well as Best Supporting Actress in "Comando Elite" (2014) and was nominated for Best Actress in a Leading Role for "La Promesa" (2014). For her performance in "Laura," she won Best Actress in a Leading Role at the Colombian version of the Emmys, India Catalina Awards (2016). For film, she won Best Supporting Actress at Premios Macondo for her performances in "Al Final del Espectro" (2006), "Estrella del Sur" (2013) and "La Semilla del Silencio" (2016). The Macondo Awards are given by the Colombian Academy of Cinematography Arts and Sciences to honor achievement in Colombian cinema. She has seamlessly transitioned from Spanish-speaking roles to English projects, gaining industry respect and recognition.

Alongside acting, Julieth runs her production company, Blue Rabbit Films. Most notably, she was the executive producer of the film "Unidentified Objects" which has earned multiple awards, screened at 64 film festivals worldwide and is currently available to stream on Amazon's Prime. Other projects include the short film "Rodrigo Branquias" (producer), which will premiere in 2025. The short films "Kisses to Kevin," (producer) and "La Via Lactea" (producer/actress), as well as a web series for YouTube "The Real Mune" (creator/actress/editor/producer). Upcoming projects for Blue Rabbit Films include the feature film "Broken in Pieces," that Julieth co-wrote, is co-producing and starring in, the miniseries "Las Malcriadas" (co-creator/co-producer/lead actress), and the short film "Miedo" (writer/director/actress/producer).

Originally from Medellín, Colombia, Julieth embarked on her theatrical journey at the young age of 13, defying the odds to pursue her dream of becoming an actress. Despite economic challenges -with her father working as a taxi driver and her mother as a secretary -Julieth, a shy child, discovered her true sanctuary on the stage. Taking on small jobs to fund her classes, she made the bold move to Bogotá at 18, where she could audition for paid TV and film opportunities. Her career gained momentum swiftly, earning her first award at the age of 19. Julieth's fearless exploration of human nature has become the canvas for showcasing her versatile range across multiple genres. Her chameleon-like ability to embody diverse characters grants her the freedom to perform with genuine honesty, establishing her robust career in the industry. In each role, she carries the spirit of her family and community, paying homage to those who supported her journey towards realizing her dreams. Julieth aspires to inspire others and make a positive impact in the industry, leveraging her craft to uplift and resonate with a broader audience.
