Spend, spend, spend, always more to spend, always more to buy. This clever hand-made animated short film titled Five Cents is a must watch for anyone who feels overwhelmed by the need to keep spending money on anything/everything all of the time. A consumer finds himself in over his head after a string of purchases gets out of control. This five minute short was made by NYC animator / artist Aaron Hughes. It was drawn by hand on thousands of market data pages from The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal and the Financial Times with ink, white-out, gouache paint, gold leaf and other materials. So cool. I wish there was more that the lil' guy has to buy, though I certainly appreciate the big picture metaphor and the point Aaron is trying to make with this anyway. Many feel the same way he does at the end, too.

How It Ends is in no vague terms an absolute bore of cinematic expression. It is two hours of drab, tiresome moments with sparse originality that I can only describe as torture. I’d even suggests the title itself a sick meta/ self-aware pun at the expense of its unaware audience. As you may have surmised, How It Ends is explicitly horrifying to endure.
Performances are monotone and one-note, leaving little to no development of engagement available to connect with the characters present. A strikingly bungled feature on the films part considering the impact needed to convey the terrifying scenario unfolding with the so-called tense atmosphere and lukewarm horror the characters must progress through, yet with insufficient character development...

Thierry Henry, Robert Pires, Dennis Bergkamp, Ian Wright. Names that just roll off the tongue, oozing class, silk and flair that have illuminated north London for the last number of years. Bringing Gunners supporters to their feet with breath-taking pieces of skill and jaw-dropping goals, it’s players like these which have gained Arsene Wenger’s men worldwide recognition for playing some of the most fluid and attractive football on the continent.
Who could forget Henry’s cheeky free-kick against Chelsea in 2004 whilst the wall was preparing itself or Bergkamp’s unbelievable piece of skill to flick the ball past Newcastle’s Aaron Hughes before coolly slotting into the back of the net? However, the fact is that it’s not just all about the superstars. Arsenal supporters’ memories aren’t just confined to recapturing the exquisite moments from the likes of Henry, Pires et al.

The latest news involving Fulham is that experienced defender Phillipe Senderos has departed for Spanish side Valencia.
The former-Arsenal man was previously a transfer target for Italian side Lazio but that move fell through but now he is on his way out and is not the first departure today from Fulham.
Monaco recently announced the capture of Dimitar Berbatov on a loan deal, while Aaron Hughes left for Qpr earlier in the day.
Fulham were already in the market for a defender, with John Heitinga top of the list, and the recent departure suggests there could be an imminent arrival at the club.
Recent indications suggest the Dutchman is extremely close to sealing his switch from Everton and the deal is expected to be completed in time.

Liverpool will be hopeful of putting the Arsenal defeat behind them as they continue to keep themselves in contention with Arsenal at the summit. Coutinho is hit and miss whether he will indeed start against a Fulham side greatly lacking in confidence, but Brendan Rodgers’ men are heavy favourites to dole out another defeat for the Cottagers.
Martin Jol and Fulham look to be in another relegation dogfight this season as they cannot stop conceding goals. The side are surrendering chances far too readily in the Premier League this campaign, and the manager’s job is on the line as a result. They’ll do well to keep Liverpool quiet, as only two other sides have scored more league goals than the Reds this season.

Martin Jol will hope to secure the win that alleviate some of the pressure building on the Fulham manager as his side host Stoke at Craven Cottage.
Fulham will be without Scott Parker, who injured his lower leg in the 2-1 defeat last time out against Cardiff. He joins Maarten Stekelenburg, Matt Briggs, and Ashkan Dejagah on the absentee list. Aaron Hughes is also a doubt. Stoke will give late fitness tests to Jon Walters and Matt Etherington.
The Cottagers will look for a first home win since April 1st, and have lost three of the last four, resulting in a place in the relegation zone. That continues a poor run that has seen them win only two of their last 14 matches.
Stoke started well under Mark Hughes, bringing a more alluring style of play for both fans of The Potters and neutrals, but City have picked up only one...

Team news ahead of Fulham’s Premier League tie against Swansea at Craven Cottage. The match has a 3pm kick-off time and the game is not being screened live anywhere in the UK.
Fulham midfielder Steve Sidwell will miss today’s game with a hernia injury. The 29-year-old former Aston Villa midfielder has been forced to have another operation to cure the problem that will likely keep him out for the next month. Orlando Sa will be missing for about the same period with a hamstring problem.
Northern Ireland international defender Aaron Hughes will return to the squad for the first time since he missed last weekend’s defeat against Aston Villa with a knee injury. Zdenek Grygera is out for the rest of the season.
For Swansea, they have no fresh injury problems going into the game and they come to Craven Cottage full of confidence having beat Manchester City 1-0 last weekend.

Fulham are a difficult prospect. At the minute they are the epitome of a mid-table club, sat in 14th with unspectacular goal stats and without too many outstanding talents in their team, Martin Jol’s men will have been disappointed to go out of the Europa League in what looked an easier group. But, the Europa is a challenging competition, in terms of the effect clubs’ participation can have on league form and fitness, and coming into the end of the season, and with the clubs below him increasingly desperate for points, Jol might well be happy to have left the competition behind.
What Jol needs to consider is whether he and his paymasters will be happy with a season spent in mid-table, after last year’s European qualification, and how he can affect the second half of the season to change things. Very simply, that means winning more games,...

Yesterday we bought you the new trailer for the 'confined-space' horror thriller 'Atm'. Today more welcome news about a release for the movie has come to light and it seems that 'Atm' will be the latest in the new trend of horror flicks that initially premiere on VOD (video on demand) and then receive a limited theatrical run a few weeks later. Penned by 'Buried' scribe Chris Sparling and helmed by David Brooks the story revolved around a trio of work colleagues who find theirselves trapped inside an Atm vestibule late at night whilst being stalked by a psycho killer wearing a hooded parker. Alice Eve -below ('She's Out of My League', 'The Raven'), Josh Peck, Brian Geraghty ('When a Stranger Calls', 'The Hurt Locker'), Aaron Hughes, Shailee Ferguson and Will Woytowich all star. A new trailer for David Brooks' feature flick 'Atm' has been revealed by IFC Films. The new horror from writer Chris Sparling ('Buried') features a group of co-workers trapped in an Atm vestibule who are being stalked by an unknown man. Sparling clearly has the touch to make restricted space thrillers actually thrilling which is more than apparent in catch-your breathe horror 'Buried', starring Ryan Reynolds. The movie stars the delightfully gorgeous Brit actress Alice Eve ('She's Out of My League', 'The Raven') along with Josh Peck, Brian Geraghty ('When a Stranger Calls', 'The Hurt Locker'), Aaron Hughes, Shailee Ferguson and Will Woytowich. We have to assume 'Atm' will keep it's title when travelling over to the UK, even though an Atm is better known as cash machine or hole-in-the-wall. Check out the new trailer below.

Atm Trailer. David Brooks‘ Atm (2011) movie trailer stars Alice Eve, Josh Peck, Brian Geraghty, Will Woytowich, and Aaron Hughes. Atm’s plot synopsis: “On a late night visit to an Atm, three coworkers end up in a desperate fight for their lives when they become trapped by an unknown man.”
This film reminds me of Phone Booth without any of the spice that made that film good. It is more along the lines of P2. They give away most of the kills in the film via the Friday the 13th remake-enumerating-the-kills-trailer goofiness and some key scenes from the third act. I did like the killer seating in the lawn chair towards the end though.

The big story for Spurs in the week was Harry Redknapp undergoing heart surgery, an operation that will keep him missing from today’s game. So the only Spurs manager in the dugout will be a former one, Fulham boss and former Tottenham favourite Martin Jol. Going into the game the talk on many pundits lips has been whether Spurs can continue their rich vein of form with a win over their London peers without Harry, but the team will no doubt be aware of what is expected from them today and will be hoping to send the perfect get well soon message.

A slow Sunday of football culminated in a turgid clash between Fulham and Blackburn that ended in an uninspired draw. Neither side would be happy with the 1-1 result, both desperately needing a win but having to settle for a point after two spectacular goals from Ruben Rochina and Bobby Zamora which stood out against a backdrop of dull football. The 9th annual Lausanne Underground Film Festival may just run for a mere five days in Switzerland on Oct. 20-24, but it hits with the force of a 10p-ton megaton bomb over that time period, packing in so much mind-boggling underground madness it’ll make your head explode.
Every year, the fest feels like 5 or 6 festivals crammed into one. There’s the fest that pays homage to the history of experimental filmmaking, there are the retrospectives of several cult festivals, a feature film competition section, a short film competition section and more.
Three filmmakers are especially getting major retrospective love this year. First, there’s legendary Canadian experimental filmmaker Michael Snow who will be in attendance at screenings of his classic films Wavelength, <–> and La région centrale, plus several of his other short films.
Also being feted are German extreme horror filmmaker Jörg Buttgereit, who will attend screenings of his classic Nekromantik,...
