Porsha Williams thinks Kandi Burruss is taking shots at her just to fire up the Lgbtq community over some ancient video, for which Porsha's already apologized. Porsha tells TMZ she's extremely disheartened Kandi would stoop low and bring the word "hate" into the mix while referencing her church sermon from 10 years ago. She claims it was taken out of context, and stands by her former apology for the video. Kandi told one of our photogs...

Maya Angelou is getting a presidential farewell as the nation's top leaders honor the beloved poet. The award-winning writer and activist died Wednesday. She was 86. President Barack Obama, who awarded Angelou the Medal of Freedom in 2011, noted her many accomplishments and how she inspired his family. "Like so many others, Michelle and I will always cherish the time we were privileged to spend with Maya," President Obama said in a statement. "With a kind word and a strong embrace, she had the ability to remind us that we are all God's children; that we all have something to offer. And...

NBA center Jason Collins made headlines last week when he became the first active player in one of America's four major sports to come out as gay. Following the coming out, Collins and his family sat down with Oprah Winfrey to talk about groundbreaking announcement.
Oprah posits that due to the overwhelmingly positive response, does he wish he had come out sooner?
"Part of me, yes. I felt that I couldn't do it until the season was over ... out of respect to my teammates," says Colllins.
But now that he has officially come out, he says it's such a relief.
"For the past couple mornings when I've woken up, I haven't felt better in my life. It takes a toll on you when you live a lie," says Collins. "You buy your cover story. But it's tiring ... you know the sky is blue, but you keep telling yourself that it's red.

ABC Family's The Fosters has cast the biological son of the lesbian couple with David Lambert, and the troubled teen they take in will be played by Maia Mitchell.
It looks like Bryan Fuller's Mockingbird Lane will not be going forward as a series. It evidently came off as too "high concept."
The reddit effort to have Taylor Swift play a concert at the Horace Mann School for the Deaf has a happy ending, with the school being disqualified, but Swift is donating $10,000 to the school, and her sponsors are chipping in another $40,000 in donations.
The Supreme Court declined to take up the National Organization for Marriage's appeal in the case of Maine's financial disclosure laws, meaning they'll have to reveal their donors per state law.

As Contagion sweeps like a plague into UK cinemas, James looks at five Hollywood actors who are surely immune to infection…
Are you thinking about going to the cinema this weekend? If you are, I'd urge you to take some baby wipes, a bottle of disinfectant and a surgical mask. Please take the necessary precautions, because the multiplex is full of germs, malicious microbes and bugs - and I mean nasty bugs that bring disease, not the cute animated critters from Pixar's A Bug's Life.
I say this because Hollywood is sick - even sicker than normal. We already knew that Sunset Strip is awash with titan migraines, venereal disease, substance abuse problems and psychological disorders. What we're dealing with now, though, according to the freshly released film Contagion, is a health crisis that no spell in the Betty Ford Clinic or course of antibiotics will cure. This is the...

Miley Cyrus has some new ink, and it's making more than a fashion statement.
On Friday night, the former "Hannah Montana" star tweeted a photo of a new tattoo, a small equal sign on the side of her ring finger. With the photo, Cyrus wrote, "All Love is equal."
In response to a fan's tweet disagreeing her stance, she wrote, "where does it say in the bible to judge others? Oh right. It doesn't. God is the only judge honey. 'God is love.'"
Cyrus has been outspoken in her support for gay rights; in 2009, after Carrie Prejean told Perez Hilton during the Miss USA contest that she did not believe in gay marriage, Cyrus tweeted, "Jesus loves you and your partner and wants you to know how much he cares! That's like a daddy not loving his lil boy cuz he's gay and that is wrong and very sad!

The first time I heard gay marriage mentioned, I was incredulous. Two gay people couldn't get married! It simply...well, it wasn't done. I wasn't objecting to their homosexuality. I was objecting to the disturbance caused to my mental categories.
Love and marriage, love and marriage
Go together like a horse and carriage
Dad was told by mother
You can't have one,
You can't have none,
You can't have one without the other!
In recent years, dad is being told something else by brother.
I must have heard about gay marriage sometime in the 1970s. It made an impression when it was mentioned by my mother. We had never discussed homosexuality. Neither of my parents did. Oh it might be observed, "Look at that Liberace! He sure is queer." It wasn't a criticism so much as a wonderment, as if he were playing with three hands.
