Michael DeArmey
- Actor
Born in Las Vegas just a few minutes after his mother hit the jackpot
on a slot machine, Michael Dearmey believes his birth in a Vegas Casino
signaled that his future might be filled with good luck and good
fortune. To date, it appears that's exactly the way things are turning
out. On his very first venture into the world of showbiz at the age of
eight he was encouraged by his three younger brothers to try out for a
role in his school's Christmas play and ended up landing the lead part.
According to Mike, "little did I know playing "Scrooge" was the
beginning of a love affair with acting that would last a lifetime." His
good luck with plucking off one plum role after another would continue
from elementary school and all the way through college with
performances in such popular Broadway hits such as, "The Heidi
Chronicles', 'Who's Afraid of Virginia Wolf,", "The Pirates of
Penzanes", "Springtime for Hitler" and "The Indian wants the Bronx"
After graduating from the University of Puget Sound with a degree in
Communications and Theatre Arts, Mike headed southward to the land of
the Palm trees and movie studios. Shortly after enrolling in the Actors
Workshop with long time film coach R.J. Adams, Mr. Dearmey's good
fortune continued with a principal recurring role on the ABC Soap
:General Hospital." One Film/TV role after another soon followed when
the talent Mr. Dearmey landed roles in such noted film/TV productions
as "The Hitman", "Sex, Love & Secrets", "Conviction" and "The 7-10
Split" Whether it's a matter of good luck or just plain good old
fashioned, Mike Dearmey's future seems as bright as the lights on the
Las Vegas Strip.
