In an ultimate show-must-go-on moment in country music history, Wynonna Judd was not about to let the legacy of the Judds slip quietly into the sunset, rather than go out as spectacularly as intended, after her mother, Naomi Judd, died by suicide in April 2022. And so the Judds farewell tour that had been scheduled for last fall did proceed, against all probabilities, with a bevy of top stars trading places as Naomi’s stand-in each night. The emotional end of that road was captured for not just one but two new specials premiering on different Paramount platforms — “Wynonna Judd: Between Hell and Hallelujah,” a feature-length documentary that debuted Wednesday on Paramount+, and “The Judds: Love Is Alive — The Final Concert,” a two-hour performance special bowing tonight on CMT at 8 p.m. Et/Pt.

Though vocal groups are a longstanding tradition in country music, the quartet Little Big Town have been compared to Fleetwood Mac just as often as they’ve been compared to the Oak Ridge Boys. That’s due in part to their mix of male and female voices, as well as the way they’ve largely favored folk-rock arrangements over honky-tonk and country shuffles.

Dolly Parton became the first-ever country artist feted at the annual MusiCares “Person of the Year” dinner Friday night. It was a full evening of tributes, duets and at least one surprise reunion of friends: the hit-making trio of Parton, Emmylou Harris and Linda Ronstadt.
Ronstadt’s public appearances have been rare since her 2012 diagnosis of Parkinson’s disease, but her moments onstage with Harris honoring Parton spoke to the enormous affection Dolly’s peers have for her. Willie Nelson leaned into the mic to say, “We love you, Doll.

Country Music Hall of Fame member Ronnie Milsap visited The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon alongside Little Big Town on Wednesday night, recreating his classic 1986 hit “Lost In the Fifties Tonight” as an all-star collaboration.
Looking sharp in a burgundy sport jacket and shades, Milsap sang the nostalgic ballad from behind a baby grand piano and proved that his soulful voice can still capture the imagination. Adding a touch of brightness, country quartet Little Big Town stood nearby and delivered the song’s doo-wop flavored backing vocals, with Karen Fairchild...

Brandi Carlile and Maren Morris, two artists who have infused their own genre-crossing music with dashes of country, pop, rock and soul, took the stage to pay homage to Franklin with a...

The 2018 Grammys haven't even aired yet and Little Big Town is already celebrating. On Live From the Red Carpet, the country music group found out that they won Best Country Duo/Group Performance for their hit "Better Man." Lucky for us, we got their reaction soon after the news broke. "It means everything. I don't want to put too much on awards, but it really means a lot when your peers and the community recognizes your music," Phillip Sweet explained to E! News' Giuliana Rancic. "We're so happy and thankful for Taylor Swift for sending us the song 'Better Man.' It's amazing." As fans know, Taylor deserves credit for writing the lyrics to the hit...

It was, said Little Big Town’s Kimberly Schlapman, “an emotional day” for her group – an understatement, to be sure.
First, the Grammy Award-winning quartet offered a wrenching performance of the national anthem at the funeral Thursday of fellow Grand Ole Opry member Troy Gentry, who died last week in a helicopter accident. And now, less than four hours later, here they were in a park in downtown Nashville, accepting one of the city’s highest honors: a star on the Music City Walk of Fame.

George Strait, Reba McEntire, Jason Aldean, Kelsea Ballerini and 17 other stars were all in their places, ready to have their photo taken. So what was the holdup? Just like the country song says, they were waitin’ on a woman – and this woman was worth the wait.
Suddenly, a vision in pink sequins floated into the room, and the room erupted in whoops and cheers. Let’s face it: No one quite knows how to make an entrance like Dolly Parton. Sidling up to Strait, she dropped an elbow on his shoulder – why would Strait mind? – and soon the camera’s flash was popping.

"We write a lot of songs while we're drinking wine – so it’s a tax write-off, maybe?"
Little Big Town's Karen Fairchild is explaining the origins of the band’s new Four Cellars wine club over a glass of chardonnay in a private back room at Nashville's The Thompson hotel. In a few minutes, we'll launch into a boozy, hilarious game of "Never Have I Ever" – but first, we talk shop.
Produced in partnership with the Browne Family Vineyards in Walla Walla, Washington, Lbt is kicking off its Four Cellars collection (named for, you guessed it, the four members of the band) with a chardonnay and a red blend. In addition to being poured at select venues in Nashville – including The Ryman Auditorium, where the band currently holds residency – it’s also the "very sophisticated, but super easy to drink" anchor of a wine club experience.

It started with an email. “I wrote this song and I keep hearing your voices on it. I know you’re making a record — if you want to cut it, great. If not, no big deal.” The message was from Taylor Swift to Phillip Sweet of Little Big Town. Attached was a demo for the future hit, “Better Man.”
“We thanked the good Lord it didn’t go in his spam folder,” Sweet’s bandmate Kimberly Schlapman joked to People.
Sweet sent the demo to the rest of Little Big Town to get their thoughts and the verdict was was immediate and unanimous.

It had already been an exciting day for the students of Wadsworth High School.
The Ohio high school’s choir was in Orlando for the Disney Performing Arts workshop. They had learned new techniques and recorded some new music.
But the teens had no idea that their day was about to get more exciting.
They were corralled into Disney’s Saratoga Springs Performance Hall. They chatted with each other good-naturedly until a movie started playing.
