Garyfallia (Liana) Kanelli, sometimes credited as "Liana K." or simply "Liana," is a Greek journalist and TV personality, a former actress, and has served as a Member of the Greek Parliament for the Communist Party of Greece since 2000.
She was born on March 20, 1954, and lives in Athens, where she is an outspoken voice against the European Union and the Euro as a currency.
After her acting career she became a successful politician in Greece.
Since becoming a career politician, Liana K. continues to make frequent appearances on TV news and panel shows in Greece.
Was awarded a national Silver Medal by Serbia in 2015, personally presented to her by Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic, for "exceptional merits in public and cultural activities".
Visited Armenia in 2016 to promote peace in the region (with Azerbaijan and Nagorno-Karabakh), blaming "capitalist rivalries" for previous bloodshed there.
