The ex-wife of a Georgia dad on trial for murder in his son’s hot car death has also always been a suspect in the case, police testified Wednesday — but she’s no longer being actively investigated.
In the same testimony where he revealed this, Cobb County police detective Phil Stoddard detailed the ex-wife’s odd behavior soon after her son was killed.
However: “No evidence has come forward to bring us up to a level of probable cause that you need to arrest Leanna Harris,” Stoddard told jurors in Brunswick, Georgia. “We never reached that point.”

Just five days before 22-month old Cooper Harris was left for hours in a hot car, his father, Justin Ross Harris, watched a video in which a veterinarian intentionally locks himself in a hot car, prosecutors alleged this week during Harris’ murder trial in Cooper’s death.
On June 13, prosecutors say that Harris, 35, allegedly accessed the video from a link on Reddit.
He allegedly watched the video twice, Cobb County lead detective Phil Stoddard told the jurors in court on Monday in Brunswick, Georgia. Jurors then saw the same video, in which Dr. Ernie Ward sat inside a closed vehicle and documented the sizzling temperatures.

The last moments of Cooper Harris’ life were excruciating.
The 22-month old toddler was left for hours in a hot car in June 2014 while his father, Justin Ross Harris, went to work. Prosecutors say he intentionally left the boy in the car. Harris maintains it was an accident.

It's the third day of jury selection in the trial of Justin Ross Harris, the man accused of murdering his 22-month-old son, Cooper, by allegedly intentionally leaving him in a hot car. The biggest challenge: finding unbiased jurors. Of the 36 potential jurors questioned by the judge on Monday, 19 of them claimed that they had already formed an opinion on Harris' guilt or innocence. An additional 8 people said that they were very familiar with the case. (Harris has pleaded not guilty.) On Tuesday, attorneys questioned potential jurors, including one question that might indicate a defense strategy: "Have you ever known anyone with a sexual addiction?...

It’s not easy to pull off Guy Ritchie’s signature high energy smash-action British gangster flicks—Snatch, Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels—with most attempts feeling flimsy in their imitations. Andy and Chaz Bugger Off to America makes a noble effort on limited resources. The five-episode indie web series is certainly absurd fun, flirting with chaotic in its comedic story of two British gangsters on the run in Los Angeles trying half-wittingly to crack into the film business. The series has its drawbacks, and its modest production value gets in the way at times—like the awkwardly blurred-out logos of dumpster brands and motel signs. The thought that kept interrupting my viewing: why not just choose shots without logos? I was about to write this series off, when we had the chance to meet up with creators Darren Darnborough (“Chaz”), Craig Robert Young (“Andy”) and director Richard Keith.

This past March 6th, I had the good fortune to attend the "Bohemian Dream"-themed party at Bardot Hollywood, which benefited the Young Storytellers Foundation, one of the cooler arts-based charities that I've ever heard of and certainly one I would have loved to come to my school as a child.
The Young Storytellers Foundation (http://www.youngstorytellers.com/) brings an incredible program to certain arts-poor Los Angeles area public schools: the nonprofit group invites entertainment industry professionals to the participating schools, who provide the students with a variety of tutoring in the art of storytelling. A significant portion of the program involves students writing their own screenplays and then having them performed by professional actors, including some genuine stars, a few of who acted as hosts...

A cocktail party so crazy you have to sign a waiver just to get in? I was intrigued. Intrigued enough to hop on the freeway a few miles up to a dark corner of North Hollywood to find the undisclosed home base of the web’s latest live-streaming reality show. Walking up to the three-story loft building it became clear this wasn’t going to be my run-of-the-mill Saturday night drinks at a friend’s place. Before entering the ControlTV loft, I’m hustled into a back room filled with producers and burly Pa types ushering me through a waiver and some ground rules. “Try to keep this PG-13,” said one of the younger producers on duty that night. “Just basically don’t drop the f-bomb too much.” She mentions the 30-second delay on the live stream they’ve set up just in case we get out of hand. And...

On a windy, overcast Sunday afternoon the 2010 Streamy Awards took over the Orpheum Theater in downtown Los Angeles. Even though the FearNet webseries “Fear Clinic,” directed by Robert Hall and starring genre favorites Robert Englund, Kane Hodder, Danielle Harris, and Lisa Wilcox, stood alone to represent our favorite genre, that doesn’t mean there wasn’t a gaggle of horror-related goodies to indulge in while working the red carpet event before the show.
Before the Streamy Awards were under way, Dread Central’s red carpet team of Heather Wixson and Brian Smith had the opportunity to catch up with some new faces in horror as well as some of the genre’s most beloved personalities.
Since we never want to deprive our readers of any sort of awesomeness, Dread Central has cooked up two videos from the Streamy Awards red carpet event. The first video is chock-full of interviews.

Most of the-world-is-being-destroyed! flicks don’t have budgets like 2012 or The Day After Tomorrow, so I didn’t expect much from the special effects in Meteor Apocalypse. And to give the creators of the film some credit, the effects weren’t That bad. You know what I mean; they weren’t Superboy; The Complete First Season bad. Unfortunately though, the plot Was that bad…and I usually love these types of movies; even the ones that border on being completely asinine.
The film begins with a botched attempt by the government to destroy a massive meteor on course to blast into our planet, breaking it into hundreds of smaller meteors which still blast into our planet. David Dematti (Joe Lando, of Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman fame) is home with his wife and daughter when the first meteors strike. David is called into work, and once he arrives he discovers his co-worker foaming at the mouth.

You have heard the premise of a meteor shower heading to earth, which is sure to bring man's destruction, before. This type of event killed the dinosaurs, so this could happen to mankind too, right? This plotline has been tried before by Armageddon and others, but here The Asylum adds in some bad acting and a low budget to get the job done. Yes, this reviewer is getting jaded by all the poor quality pictures cascading across these eyes. However, some viewers might find some interest in the one line synopsis for The Meteor Apocalypse, which just released yesterday. A trailer is provided below and at The Asylum website. View both before the world ends through a cosmic rock shower!
A synopsis for The Meteor Apocalypse:
"A gigantic meteors enters Earth's orbit and begins to disintegrate, showering the entire planet with debris' (The Asylum).
Release Date: February 23, 2010 (DVD).
Director: Micho Rutare.

Sometimes in life, you meet someone that makes such a fantastic first impression on you that you know you'll be into any project they bring to the table. And when that person has the talent to back it up and is just generally a great human being, it inspires you all the more. Actor-creator Brendan Bradley is one of those people for me. Having first met Bradley shortly after his relocation from New York to Los Angeles on the set of the short film September 12th, we were reunited on the set of The Legend of Neil, where he played the male fairy alongside Felicia Day (fairy vomit never looked so good!). So I was more than pleased to hear that Bradley had developed his own series, entitled Squatters. Set in present day Manhattan, the comedy follows the absurd lives of two 20-somethings, Alex Selkirk (played by Erik Scott Smith...
