Raised in St. Paul, Minnesota, Daniel trained at the American Academy
of Dramatic Arts in New York City and gained his initial experience as
a producer working alongside Academy Award Nominee
Penelope Milford in her film workshop
from 1997-2000 and in 2003 produced his first feature film
Losing Lenny (2003), which was
screened at Sony Studios in Culver City, California.
Daniel serves as a script consultant for network & cable television and has had his projects in
development through Password Pictures at Lions Gate, Hazy Mills
Productions at CBS, and the late
Dennis Hopper at Easy Rider Productions.
Over the years he has also appeared on network television as an actor,
is a published writer / photographer and in October 2010, had two songs
that he produced appear on the SyFy channel's
Behind the Scenes (2010).
Two distinctive highlights from his career in entertainment include
working with Peter Gilbert (
Hoop Dreams (1994),
Prefontaine (1997) ,
Burning Ice (2010) ) and the
"Godfather" of Chicano theatre and film,
Luis Valdez (
Zoot Suit (1981),
La Bamba (1987) ).
