A savagely panned action thriller starring Marvel actor and Academy Award winner J.K. Simmons is finding success on Netflix almost a decade after release. Landing in 2017, Renegades, known as American Renegades in the United States, is part Ocean's Eleven, part Expendables, and all...mauled by critics. But, now that the action outing is on Netflix, fans of the genre have taken the opportunity to discover this tale of a group of Navy SEALs with plans to salvage some Nazi gold from the bottom of a lake while on assignment in a war zone.

Wow, what a finale, folks! Outlander gave us everything we might have wanted ahead of the eighth and final season, which will wrap the show up (hopefully) later this year. After an elongated seventh season with a big break in the middle, we finally saw the conclusion of season 7, and I must say, "A Hundred Thousand Angels" did not disappoint.
In the penultimate episode of the season, we saw Claire (Caitriona Balfe) fighting for her life after being shot while Denzell (Joey Phillips) operates on her. The episode ended before we learned of her fate, but luckily, the season 7 finale wastes no time in giving us the updates.
There is a lot to unpack regarding the season 7 finale of Outlander, including a bombshell revelation about Claire and Jamie's (Sam Heughan) family. Buckle up, fellow Outlander fans, this one was a doozy! Beware Major Spoilers Ahead!

Every episode in this season of Outlander thus far has left us on the edge of our seats for one reason or another. Whether it was wondering if Jamie (Sam Heughan) has died in a shipwreck or wondering if Lord John Grey (David Berry) had died from a gunshot, there has been so much going on.
The creators and executive producers of the series had been alluding to a very emotional journey ahead, and they were not wrong. There has been so much action and drama, and this week's episode continues to pack the punches in.
We have a lot to discuss, so let's not waste a single second and get right into the chaos of "Hello, Goodbye."
The past meets the present, er the present meets the past?
Buck (Diarmaid Murtagh) and Roger (Richard Rankin) open up the episode this week as they continue their search to potentially find Roger's father.

Starz’s Outlander season seven episode 13 begins on a happy note with the Frasers preparing for Ian and Rachel’s wedding. Rollo naps by the fire as Jamie (Sam Heughan) says he’s happy he rose from the dead in time to attend the wedding. Jamie knows Ian’s dad would be happy for his son, while Ian (John Bell) just hopes Jamie’s letter reaches Denzell in time for him to make it to the wedding.
Ian’s not nervous about his impending marriage but is nervous for Rachel since she’s a virgin. Jamie confesses he was a virgin on his wedding night, and no one gave him good advice except Claire. She told him, “Go slowly. Pay attention.” Jamie jokes that Claire wasn’t gentle with him, but the advice to be patient is still worth following.

Outlander Season 7, Episode 10 review: Disaster strikes (again!) as Claire learns gut-wrenching news

Outlander is only two episodes into the second half of its seventh season and chaos is already ensuing, with no signs of stopping. As we saw in the premiere, the story is picking up rapidly. We've already watched the Frasers return to Scotland and then promptly after watched Claire (Caitriona Balfe) and Young Ian (John Bell) leave for America to help Lord John Grey's (David Berry) nephew.
If you are a long-time fan of Outlander, you know good things can never come from Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Claire separating. It never sits well with me, and this week's episode proves exactly why that feeling is warranted.
A lot takes place in "Brotherly Love." It's filled with moments that remind me that this series is inching closer to its end and thus packing in all the punches it can along the way.

Outlander Season 7 has returned and each of the two episodes released so far has been a constant rollercoaster for Richard Rankin's Roger MacKenzie. Roger, alongside his cousin, Buck (Diarmaid Murtagh), have traveled back in time to search for Roger’s kidnapped son, Jemmy (Blake Johnston-Miller). The mid-season premiere saw the pair landing in the wrong time period, with constant shocking revelations following. Friday's episode was no different, as Roger's world turns upside down even further, as he realizes that the faerie man who he'd presumed to be Rob Cameron (Chris Fulton) - the man who kidnapped Jem - was in fact his own father.

Warning: Spoilers for Outlander season 7, episode 10 — "Brotherly Love"!Roger MacKenzie (Richard Rankin) is on a mission in Outlander season 7, episode 10, and nothing will distract him from finding his son — except for maybe his ancestors. After accidentally winding up in 1739, he and his many-times-great-grandfather Buck (Diarmaid Murtagh) end up at the door of season 1 villainess Geillis Duncan. Unbeknownst to Buck, Geillis is his birth mother, meaning that he and Roger bear witness to the beginnings of an affair that will result in their existence.
Comedy aside, Outlander season 7 also offers up another important mystery in the form of Roger's father. Thinking there may be a connection to Jem's abduction, Dougal MacKenzie (Graham McTavish) hands Roger dog tags with his father's name on them — despite the fact that Roger always believed his father died in battle in the 20th century. Warning: Spoilers for Outlander season 7, episode 10 — "Brotherly Love"!Outlander welcomed back old friends and foes in season 7, episode 10, which saw the return of Geillis Duncan (Lotte Verbeek) and Dougal MacKenzie (Graham McTavish). Dougal died in the Battle of Culloden during season 2 and Geillis was burned as a witch in the season 1 finale, but their presence has lingered — sometimes physically — long after their passing. With Roger and Buck having accidentally traveled back to 1739, the show had a unique opportunity to present Geillis and Dougal as they were before Claire met either of them.
The meeting is an especially charged one for the characters, as Buck is their illegitimate child (though he doesn't know it yet) and Roger is their grandson many times removed. But it's also a nostalgic moment for Outlander audiences, who never really saw Geillis and Duncan in the full bloom of their romance and only heard about their...

[Warning: The below and video above contain Major spoilers for Outlander, Season 7, Episode 10, “Brotherly Love.”] Outlander‘s journey into a new timeline continues as Roger (Richard Rankin) and Buck’s (Diarmaid Murtagh) adventure in the past puts them in the path of Geillis Duncan (Lotte Verbeek), years before she’d meet Claire (Caitriona Balfe). Eager to find his son Jemmy (Blake Johnston-Miller), Roger seeks answers about a “fairy man” he believes is Rob Cameron (Chris Fulton) who has been spotted in the area, and while Geillis doesn’t have all of the answers, there’s a promising lead from an unexpected source that ends up being Dougal MacKenzie (Graham McTavish). As Roger tries to comprehend the situation unfolding in front of his eyes, Buck is entirely unaware that they’re witnessing his parents’ first meeting. Starz While Roger understands the gravity of this meeting and knows the figures involved, Buck doesn’t even know that Geillis and Dougal are his...

It's back, Outlander, and it's as beautiful as ever. The beloved Starz historical drama series has returned with the second batch of episodes for its seventh season. Central to the show's return was the emotional Lallybroch reunion with the family in Scotland for Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan), Claire (Caitrona Balfe) and Young Ian (John Bell). It also became abundantly clear that Roger (Richard Rankin) and Buck's (Diarmaid Murtagh) rescue mission back in time had somehow malfunctioned spectacularly. Outlander returns to Starz this Friday with Season 7, Episode 10, titled "Brotherly Love." Ahead of the new episode, the network has released a flurry of new images.

The second half of the seventh season of Outlander is off and running, and surprises abound. While Jamie and Claire Fraser (Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe) return to Jamie's native Scotland, their son-in-law Roger (Richard Rankin) has a time-traveling kidnapping to solve: his son Jemmy (Blake Johnston-Miller) has been taken into the past, so Roger and ancestor Buck (Diarmaid Murtagh) use the standing stones at Craigh Na Dun to travel back in time in pursuit...but they somehow overshoot their mark, ending up about 20 years earlier than they planned. Jamie's father Brian Fraser (Andrew Whipp) is still running Lallybroch, with a younger version of Jamie's sister Jenny (Kristin Atherton) helping keep the household.
“I think it’s just shock after shock after shock, and I think all of these things helped to develop a very sort of interesting and refreshing plot line for Buck and Roger,” Rankin told TV Insider.

True to its nature, Outlander returned with its Season 7 mid-season premiere, and there wasn't a shortage of exciting time-traveling twists to get into. Chief and perhaps, most significant among them was Roger (Richard Rankin) and Buck (Diarmaid Murtagh) being displaced in time to a period they were not expecting to arrive in. Having traveled through the standing stones at Craigh Na Dun to find Rogers son Jemmy (Blake Johnston-Miller), who was kidnapped by Rob Cameron (Chris Fulton). Roger and Buck find themselves in a time period where Jamie's father, Brian Fraser (Andrew Whipp), is still Laird at Lallybroch, with a younger Jenny (Kristin Atherton) helping run the household.

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for Outlander, Season 7, Episode 9, “Unfinished Business.”] Outlander‘s return has brought with it plenty of exciting time-traveling twists as Roger (Richard Rankin) and Buck (Diarmaid Murtagh) found themselves displaced in time to a period at Lallybroch where Brian Fraser (Andrew Whipp) is still Laird, overseeing his family, including a younger Jenny (Kristin Atherton). As viewers will recall, they traveled through the standing stones at Craigh Na Dun to find Roger’s son Jemmy (Blake Johnston-Miller), who was kidnapped by Rob Cameron (Chris Fulton). Fellow Outlander fans, we are back, Finally! It has been a literal eternity (or since August 2023) since we have been in the world of the Frasers, but I am so happy to be back!
The premiere episode of Season 7B had me on the edge of my seat from start to finish, and certainly threw me for a loop at many points. There is simply so much to discuss and unravel, and I can't wait to dive right into it.
However, before doing that, here is a very quick recap of where we left things when Outlander Season 7A ended: in the midst of the American Revolutionary War, Jamie (Sam Heughan), Claire (Caitriona Balfe), and Ian (John Hunter Bell) returned to Scotland after Jamie was tasked with bringing the body of Simon Fraser to his Scottish homeland. It doesn't feel like that this trip to Scotland is meant to be permanent,...

For several seasons now, Outlander has looked quite different from the TV show's beginning, but the first three episodes of season 7, part 2 still have a few tricks. For audiences who have stuck with Outlander from the start, the slow transformation into a family-oriented series has had its ups and downs. However, the second half of this extra-long season delivers some of the action that the series needs. While Caitrona Balfe and Sam Heughan as Claire and Jamie Fraser will always be the show's beating heart, there's plenty to explore with the other characters.
Based on the novel series, Outlander follows combat nurse Claire Randall from the year 1945, who is mysteriously transported back to 1743, where she is immediately thrown into an unknown world and sees her life threatened. However, when Claire is forced to marry Jamie Fraser, a genuine and passionate relationship is ignited that tears Claire's heart between two different men from two clashing lives.

Before the long-running, beloved fantasy series comes to an end, Outlander must answer some pressing questions as season 7, part 2, and season 8 loom. Sam Heughan and Caitrona Balfe have played Jamie Fraser and Claire Randall Fraser in the Starz adaptation of Diana Gabaldon's book series since the premiere in 2014. After many years and instances of time travel since then, Claire and Jamie have found themselves in the thick of many revolutions and world events. As Outlander Season 8 draws closer, how the series will wrap up the story is of great importance.
It's been confirmed that Outlander season 8 will change the book's ending since Gabaldon likely won't be finished writing the last book in the series before season 8 premieres. As Outlander season 8 has already wrapped filming ahead of the premiere of season 7, part 2, the story's finale has been set in stone, and hopefully, the creative team has worked to wrap up every loose end.

Back in December 2023, Netflix swooped in and acquired season two of the critically acclaimed Australian drama The Tourist after Max passed on picking up the distribution rights after airing the first season. Season one of the riveting drama followed Jamie Dornan (Belfast) as a man with a sketchy past who suffered from amnesia as the result of a car accident that was meant to kill him. And season two, which premieres on February 29, 2024, finds Dornan reprising his role as Elliot alongside Danielle Macdonald as Helen, the only person he could depend on when he couldn’t remember his own name.
Their relationship grew over the course of the first season, and by the finale, they were more than just friends. Now, in season two, Elliot and Helen will be traveling to Ireland, hoping to find answers about Elliot’s identity. “But instead, they are forced to face the dangerous consequences of his past actions,...

Starz’s Outlander season seven episode seven finds Roger and Brianna getting to know Buck, while back in 1777, Jamie takes part in the first Battle of Saratoga. It’s a jam-packed episode that ends with heart-stopping cliffhangers for both timelines.
Episode seven, “A Practical Guide for Time-Travelers,” opens with the Continental Army set up in Bemis Heights, NY in September 1777. It’s just outside of Saratoga, and Claire (Caitriona Balfe) writes to Bree, telling her she’s uneasy about Jamie being a part of Daniel Morgan’s riflemen. She also reveals that she met William at Fort Ticonderoga and that seeing him made her miss Bree even more.
Meanwhile, the British army’s camped near Stillwater, NY, and William Ransome (Charles Vandervaart) joins the officers in a discussion of the state of the army. The Husseins are also involved in this meeting,...

Warning! Spoilers about Outlander season 7, episode 6 and the Outlander books ahead.
Jemmy's belief in the Nuckelavee was proven true when Roger identified the intruder as his ancestor, William Buccleigh Mackenzie. Roger's violent reaction toward Buck Mackenzie was motivated by their tumultuous past and Buck's attempt to have him hanged by the British. Diarmaid Murtagh replaced Graham McTavish as Buck Mackenzie in Outlander season 7, potentially hinting at a storyline where Buck and Dougal Mackenzie will meet.
The ending of Outlander season 7, episode 6 finally revealed who was the real person Jemmy kept referring to as a Nuckelavee that haunted the grounds at Lallybroch. In Outlander season 7, episode 4, Jemmy faulted the mythical figure as the one behind the crisps, biscuits, and lemonade being ransacked from the Mackenzies’ fridge. Brianna always believed Jemmy to be lying, even if he rarely did in relation to anything else that wasn’t Nuckelavee in Lallybroch, but...

There’s been an intriguing mystery going on in the background of Outlander recently, and although the sixth episode of the seventh season, “Where the Waters Meet”, finally solves that mystery, it’s still not particularly clear who and what the show actually reveals in the final moments of the episode, for a number of reasons. If you’ve found yourself confused by it all, dinna fash, we’re here to help fill you in!
After Bree (Sophie Skelton) and Roger MacKenzie (Richard Rankin) time-travel back to the 1980s to make sure their daughter Mandy has a shot at survival, they make the familiar Lallybroch their home while they continue raising Jem and Mandy in Scotland. They leave Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Claire Fraser (Caitriona Balfe) in the past, but read preserved letters that detail the couples’ life, movement, and troubles as the American Revolutionary War gets underway.

Upon their return to the 20th Century, Roger and Bree decided to stay in Scotland to be close to their heritage. How convenient that in this week’s Outlander, their heritage basically knocks on their front door and shows itself in.
Buck MacKenzie, aka Roger’s great-great-great-etc. grandfather aka the guy who strung him up at Alamance, shows up in the 1980s portion of Episode 6. “Outlander” is giving fans a little more time before they have to say goodbye — and giving subscribers more of a reason to sign up for a full year instead of just a few months. Season 7 of the time-travel romance will air in two parts, Starz said on Wednesday, with the first half airing this year and the second half waiting for 2024.
Season 7, as previously announced, consists of 16 episodes, the show’s highest order count since Season 1. Like Season 1, which aired in 2014 and 2015, Season 7 will be split into two eight-episode bunches — the “Droughtlander” is officially over on June 16. “Outlander” has already been renewed for a final Season 8, which will consist of 10 episodes and presumably air in 2025 or later.
It is currently unclear if the show, based on Diana Gabaldon’s series of historical-fantasy romance novels, will completely adapt the entire saga. Each season of “Outlander” thus far has adapted (roughly) one...

Put on your kilts and break out the bagpipes in mourning: “Outlander” is coming to an end. The hit Starz TV series has been renewed for an eighth and final season, the premium cable channel announced Thursday. The news comes ahead of Season 7 of the series, which will premiere in Summer 2023.
The news makes it unclear if the show, which is based Diana Gabaldon’s series of historical fantasy romance novels, will adapt the most recent installment, 2021’s “Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone.” Each season of “Outlander” has thus far roughly adapted one book in the series, with the upcoming seventh season set to cover 2009’s “An Echo in the Bone” and Season 8 presumably covering 2014’s “Written in My Own Heart’s Blood.” That said, Season 7 is set to have an extended 16-episode run, while Season 8 will consist of 10 episodes, so its possible that longer length can help cover all three books.

This London-set story about a rough sleeper searching for his lost canine is well-intentioned but feels far-fetched
No, not the return of Sacha Baron Cohen’s outrageous Austrian fashion reporter. This Bruno – minus the umlaut – is a beautiful brown vizsla, the canine companion of a rough sleeper in Karl Golden’s London-set drama. It’s a well-intentioned look at homelessness if a bit soap-opera-ish at times, and perhaps not entirely authentic about the challenges of getting off the streets.
Diarmaid Murtagh plays Irishman Daniel who’s been crashing in an empty lockup near a railway line in Hackney with his dog Bruno. Golden pushes the camera right up close to Daniel’s face as he tramps the streets, amplifying the noise of screeching trains and rumbling traffic; we feel his stress levels. Murtagh nicely underplays it: head down, avoiding eye contact, battened down against the world. There’s a terrific...

Netflix has debuted a new trailer for the relationship drama ‘The One’.
Based on a book by John Marrs, the eight-episode series is set ‘five minutes in the future’, in a world where a DNA test can find your perfect partner – the one person you’re genetically predisposed to fall passionately in love with. No matter how good your relationship, which one of us can honestly say we haven’t thought about whether there is someone better out there? What if a hair sample is all it takes to find them? The idea is simple, but the implications are explosive. We will never think of love and relationships in the same way again.
Created by Howard Overman (Misfits), the series stars Hannah Ware, Dimitri Leonidas, Amir El-Masry, Stephen Campbell Moore, Wilf Scolding, Diarmaid Murtagh, Lois Chimimba, Eric Kofi-Abrefa, Pallavi Sharda, Zoë Tapper and Gregg Chillin.
Also in trailers – Liam Neeson...
