Born to Dominican parents, Barnaby De La Cruz grew up in Washington
Heights. At a young age he was inspired by the movie "Leon: The
Professional" to become a filmmaker. After studying business at the
University of Kentucky, he moved back to New York City to focus on
acting, and after working on his craft, decided to permanently relocate
to Los Angeles.
In 2010 Barnaby was cast in a role on the television shows "Criminal
Minds" and "Its Always Sunny on Philadelphia," and was also featured in
a nationwide ad campaign for Apple. He branched out into producing with
his next project, a ten minute action film titled "Operation:CTF"
starring Jonathan Keltz, directed by Denzel Whitaker. Shortly
afterwards he co-wrote and produced, Criminal with Denzel Whitaker
which stars Kevin Phillips, Robbie Amell & Noel Gugliemi. The film can
be found on youtube.
He is constantly working on new avenues to bring creative projects to
the entertainment business.
