Adam Cole and Britt Baker are used to the spotlight as two of the most popular stars in All Elite Wrestling. Yet, opening up their lives outside the ring for new TBS unscripted series Aew: All Access was a different animal. Cameras follow the power couple along with fellow wrestlers Tay Melo, Sammy Guevara The Young Bucks, Saraya, Wardlow, Eddie Kingston, and owner Tony Khan to give viewers an unprecedented peek behind the curtain. During filming, Cole (real name Austin Jenkins), and Baker faced a challenging end of 2022. Cole contemplated if he would ever wrestle again, following two serious concussions in the space of three weeks. This weighed on him physically and mentally as well as his concerned girlfriend. Baker still somehow had to focus on her own career wrestling and then getting off the road to see patients where she’d fill cavities and promote the importance of flossing.

The producers of Hollywood blockbusters and arthouse films alike are on the lookout for the most cost-efficient locations. Recent examples include several of the year’s Oscar nominees, from “Aftersun,” which shot in Turkey; “Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris,” which went to Budapest; to “Elvis,” in Australia.
“Budapest offered an affordable alternative to both London and Paris,” says Jonathan Halperyn, managing director at Budapest-based Hero Squared and a co-producer on the film. “Hungary often comes up as a shooting destination when there is a budget crunch.”
He adds: “We applied for co-production status and support from the National Film Institute of Hungary during the Covid hiatus, and by the end of 2020, we were up and running. This is the kind of flexibility we have become known for.”
Oscar-nominated costume designer Jenny Beavan praises her Hungarian team: “It was my first experience working in Hungary, and with [wardrobe supervisor] Zsoka Hoka. I think...

When she was an infant, Lola Kirke had a nurse who would sing Patsy Cline’s “Crazy” to her as a soothing gesture. She would later encounter the song in a new way in Jumpin’ Jim’s Ukulele Country music book, which she received as a teenager learning to play the ukulele.
“It was my first instrument, because I’m a white girl who grew up in the mid-2000s — we all got ukuleles,” Kirke jokes during a Zoom call with Rolling Stone. The singer-actress, who’s starred in Mozart...

Adam Cole is the longest-running Nxt Champion in the history of the popular WWE-run wrestling brand. While he’s king of the mountain ahead of his Sunday pay-per-view title defense against Velveteen Dream, it sure wasn’t always that way.
Cole’s first cup of coffee — er, ginger ale — with WWE is the stuff of legends. It was also all a gigantic mistake.
“I had been wrestling for like six to nine months at this point. I mean, brand-spanking new on the independents. I had, like, three months before, graduated high school. Just brand new. And I know I’m not a big guy, but I was even smaller then. Even smaller, no facial hair, just looked like a high school kid,” Cole, who will main-event “Nxt Takeover: In Your House” this weekend in his latest title defense, told TheWrap.
“And I got an email saying, ‘Hey, we’ve seen some footage of you.

Three weeks ago to the day, “WWE Friday Night SmackDown” on Fox needed a savior. What it got was Nxt Champion Adam Cole. Close enough.
With the vast majority of the “SmackDown” roster stuck on a tarmac in Saudi Arabia following the pro-wrestling company’s “Crown Jewel” pay-per-view, Cole and other close-enough stars from USA Network program “Nxt” were rushed to the live Fox show.
“That ended up being one of the most wild days of my entire career,” the 30-year-old Cole, whose real name is Austin Jenkins, recalled to TheWrap. “I think that’s part of why it was so special and stuck out to so many people, because pretty much everyone was aware of how crazy that day was. But yeah, absolute blast of a night — really cool.”
Walk us through it, champ.

English actress-songwriter Lola Kirke ages dramatically for the new video for her song “Mama,” playing a prim and proper matriarch who finally caves to her instinct to be a flawed human. Directed by the singer’s sister Jemima Kirke, the clip brings Lola Kirke’s song to stark — and disturbing — life.
“Mama” is the first release off Kirke’s upcoming EP Friends and Foes and Friends Again, a five-song collection of duets that arrives September 13th and finds her further exploring her brand of country music. Kelly Zutrau, from the band Wet,...

Pro Wrestling Sheet is reporting that since January, the WWE has been talking to the Sinclair Broadcasting Group, owners of Ring of Honor Wrestling, with the hopes of purchasing that promotion. Talks are said to be in the opening stages and, similar to the conversation the WWE had with Impact Wrestling before Anthem Sports purchased that company, may turn out with no change in ownership.
As a fan of both organizations, I'm conflicted by this news. There are some performers in Ring of Honor who would be amazing in either the WWE or the Nxt brand. Adam Cole for one would be a huge aquisition for the WWE. While rumor has it he's already WWE bound, having him come into the company and acknowledge the work he's created in Ring of Honor would do a lot to establish him for the casual WWE audience.

The television ratings are in for Destination America’s Wednesday night professional wrestling lineup, and the results have to be seen as negative for both Ring Of Honor Wrestling and Tna Impact Wrestling.
The first-run episode of Impact Wrestling that aired at 9:00pm Eastern garnered 264,000 viewers. The replay of the show, which was broadcast at 12:00am Eastern, drew an additional 63,000 viewers. When you combine both airings of the show, Tna drew a total of 327,000 viewers this week. This is actually identical to the total amount of viewers Impact drew last week. While on the surface that might seem like a positive with Tna currently airing taped matches from the past (they haven’t taped any new episodes of Impact in several weeks), it’s actually quite the opposite. This week’s number is tied for the company’s third lowest viewership since moving to Destination America.
