Nelson Estevez is a New York City-born actor, filmmaker, and entrepreneur currently based in Los Angeles. He stars as Secret Service Agent Alonzo on Tyler Perry's The Oval (BET), protecting the President of the United States.
Estevez's journey began with a Business Degree from Iona University, where he cultivated his entrepreneurial mindset while excelling in football and track & field. However, his passion for storytelling led him to train at the Terry Schreiber Studio in NYC, where he built a strong foundation in theater before transitioning to the LA film industry.
To date, Estevez has worked in over 20 productions, including the critically acclaimed Hulu series Pam & Tommy and David Fincher's thriller, The Killer (Netflix). Beyond acting, he stepped behind the camera to co-write, co-direct, and star in his short film, Tubby Hook, now streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
His versatility extends to the commercial world, where he has worked with major brands such as State Farm, Honda, Captain Morgan, and Miller Lite. His dedication, and work ethic-values instilled in him as a first-generation Afro-Latino-stem from his parents' journey from the Dominican Republic to New York City, where they built a better future for their family.
Guided by his personal motto, "Make people want to do better because you showed up," Estevez brings passion and energy to every project. He is currently developing new film and TV projects while expanding his entrepreneurial ventures-continuing to push boundaries in both the creative and business worlds.
