Really all you can ask for from a geeky fandom video is high production values and a cheeky sense of humor. And this Sneaky Zebra short film has both in spades. The premise is that three friends are locked in a battle to the death using iconic props from movies. That includes everything from Thor’s hammer and Captain America’s shield to Harry Potter’s wand, The Mask, and Men In Black’s “noisy cricket.”
The eight-minute “Prop Wars: Prop Harder” is a continuation of the original “Prop Wars” video from 2013, in which Nick Acott, Gary Scullion, and Edward Mackintosh battled it out in a shorter prop fight. Teaming up with nerd-merchandise provider Loot Crate allowed the sequel to be much more elaborate than the original.
Creators.co spoke to Scullion about the process of making the sequel. It was filmed across eight months, including some elaborate reshoots ...

After a full week of non-stop geek fun, YouTube's Geek Week ends with its final Fan Friday. There are plenty of nerdy fans in cyberspace, as Geek Week has proven, but there’s one particular fan subculture that stands out from the crowd. The Cosplayer. For those not emerged in nerdom, the term cosplay is short for “costume play” and is exactly what it sounds like. Participants wear costumes and accessories to represent or roleplay a fictional character. Cosplay photography has been around since convention attendees began dressing up as their favorite characters, but it’s only recently that cosplay videos have been popping up all over the internet. This week alone we have seen cosplayers in Machinima’s epic YouTube at War! and Screen Team’s charming Who We Want To Be music videos. But in the search for videos that summarizes the best of cosplay culture look no further than Sneaky Zebra.

Can the world handle any more Michael Bay than it already has? The guys over at Sneaky Zebra certainly think so (though Gizmodo does not). UK-based filmmakers Gary Scullion and Nick Acott have created a hilarious commercial for their new (fake) product, Bay in a Can. As you probably could tell from its name, this Michael Bay-infused energy drink is "scientifically proven to make you more awesome in every way."
The fake drink is apparently designed to help filmmakers beef up their movies with elements of Bay's filmmaking style. Boring old breakfast scene? Why not add a scantily clad woman eating strawberries and whipped cream. Filming a guy walking down the street? Throw in a leather jacket and motorcycle. The only thing this video is lacking is Bay-styled explosions, but that probably only occurs when someone drinks more than two Bay in a Can's in one day.

It was the night before Christmas and all through the house something bad was about to happen!
Evil toy companies have had enough of good old Santa bringing joy and festive cheer, they want to shut him down once and for all. But little did they know what forces they were up against, let’s just say you don’t f*ck with a Saint.
Don’t forget to check out the duo’s Facebook page too.

The Matthew Vaughn directed movie, X-Men: First Class is currently filming up in Oxford and it may be a little early for a trailer but if this doesn’t whet your appetite, nothing will! HeyUGuys reader, Nick Acott sent us a link to this awesome fan-made trailer that his friend, Gary Scullion (Section33) made and it was so good, it had to go up!
Gary has used footage from X-Men, X2 X-Men United, X-Men: The Last Stand, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Hunger, Atonement, Stir of Echoes, Hex, and Heroes to create what could be a great teaser trailer for the new movie!
X-Men: First Class stars James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Lucas Till, Kevin Bacon, Oliver Platt, Jason Flemyng and Rose Byrne and is scheduled for release June 2nd 2011.
Synopsis: Before Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr took the names Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time.
