Members of the Screen Actors and Writers Guilds picketed outside of Netflix in Los Angeles on Tuesday in the hopes of sending an important message to the streaming giant: They think Netflix has the opportunity to lead other streaming services and studios toward reaching a deal with the writers (WGA) and actors guilds (SAG-AFTRA) since they’re also responsible for creating the current status quo.

Anyone who grew up in a dysfunctional household knows just how traumatic childhood can be. In Moon Garden, writer/director Ryan Stevens Harris visualizes those traumas as the nightmarish denizens of the dark, industrial wasteland that a young girl finds herself trapped in.
Emma lives with her parents Sara and Alex. They love Emma, but they don’t love each other anymore. After getting a scare one night she runs to their room, only to encounter something even scarier, the two of them in the midst of a loud, intense argument. Running from it she trips and takes a fall down the stairs which leaves her in a coma. Her struggle to awake from it becomes a nightmarish trip...

Mick Ignis tells us what it's like to play creatures of the night on Stan Against Evil.
Actor Mick Ignis is about as charismatic as they come, yet most of his time onscreen comes inside all variations of demonic creatures. Ignis, 29, is a former animator turned master of inhabiting dark characters. He’s appeared as four separate demons in IFC’s horror-comedy Stan Against Evil, a show that undoubtedly has a deep affection for not only homages to classic monsters, but also exciting new eerie creations.
“As a huge nerd for this kind of stuff, this is like a dream show,” Ignis says of working on Stan Against Evil. “This is summer camp.” And we all know nothing creepy or slashy has ever happened at a summer camp.
Ignis, who also does puppet work on a wolf named Edgar in Netflix’s spooky cooking-themed show The Curious Creations of of Christine McConnell,...

There are 172 demons in the town of Willard’s Mill, and it’s up to retired sheriff Stan Miller (John C. McGinley) to stop them. There’s only one problem: Stan would rather take a nap. There is no rest for the recently retired, though, and Stan has even more undead mayhem to deal with in the new episodes of IFC’s Stan Against Evil. The second season of the horror comedy series premieres tonight on IFC, and this past summer, Daily Dead and a group of other journalists had the great pleasure of visiting the Atlanta set to see Stan’s demon-slaying arsenal and favorite recliner in person.
