“I mean it’s funny because it didn’t feel like a sacrifice to me at the time, but if I look back at it through a cultural lens, I think like, wow, if people know that I didn’t do this movie or that movie, they’d be quite shocked,” she added.

On Sunday evening there was an almost-move back to normality at the Primetime Emmys. While the usually huge guest list was pared way down due to Covid, it was heartening to see the nominees stalking the red carpet all dressed up with somewhere to go.
One of the first to hit the red carpet was Nicole Byer, wearing custom Christian Siriano. Nominated for Outstanding Host for a Reality or Competition Program, she lost out to RuPaul at last Sunday’s Creative Arts Emmys. Asked on the E! pre-show who she would have thanked had she won, she said, “I would have thanked all the fat black ladies who came before me because there are very few of us.”
Next up was Josh O’Connor in a classic tux with a twist. Instead of the standard tie, he wore a black flower at his neck—a custom Loewe look by Jonathan Anderson.

As Precious Lee stepped out onto the runway to open Christian Siriano's fashion show, she became a symbol of something he's long championed: inclusivity. "I want people to see that curves and body are celebrated and beautiful," he exclusively told E!'s Zanna Roberts Rassi of the decision to have the supermodel kick off and close his Sept. 7 show. "That was very important." Since 2016, the designer—who rose to fame as a Project Runway winner more than a decade ago—has not only included plus-size models in his shows, but has been one of the very few to genuinely highlight and cater to fuller figures in the industry and beyond. As his 40th collection...

The Golden Globes red carpet looked pretty different this year — like, no red carpet — but a few things remained the same. The stars were all glammed out, everyone was excited and there were plenty of awkward moments.
Giuliana Rancic handled hosting duties for E! once again, this year accompanied by Karamo Brown instead of Ryan Seacrest. Together, the pair deftly handled the odd circumstances made necessary by Covid. Of course, considering the hosts had to conduct their pre-show interviews virtually, the weirdness was a bit compounded.
Here are some of the most uncomfortable moments from the pre-show on E!
1. Brown’s entire interview with Laverne Cox
Laverne Cox was one of the only stars who stood far enough away from the camera so audiences could see her entire gown. But from there, her red carpet interview got weird. In fairness, it wasn’t all on Cox. First came Brown repeatedly...
