CTV in Canada has renewed Sight Unseen (season two), Sullivan’s Crossing (season three), and Children Ruin Everything (season four) for new seasons, but it is not known if those new seasons will air on The CW.

Sight Unseen wrapped its first season on The CW earlier this week. When Orphan Black co-creator John Fawcett read Kat and Niko Troubetzkoy’s new The CW show Sight Unseen, his response gave the half-sisters, who were producers on his own Peabody-winning BBC America series, a jolt of confidence. “We showed him the pilot [script] and he said, ‘This is one of the best detective thrillers I’ve read in a while,” Kat recalls.

The show follows Vancouver homicide detective Tess Avery (Dolly Lewis), who, after experiencing sudden sight loss and becoming clinically blind, resigns from her position. Soon after, she meets Sunny (Agam Darshi), an agoraphobic volunteer on a visual assistance app who remotely provides Tess with visual description via a lapel camera, and the two begin to take up cases on their own.

Kat says that similar to Orphan Black, which “started as a cop franchise in the first episode” and eventually “found an unusual, very visceral way of storytelling,” Sight Unseen...

The CW has added two new scripted crime drama series, Wild Cards and Sight Unseen, to its lineup for Fall 2024. These shows continue the network's trend of seeking content from non-u.S. sources, as both are co-produced with Canadian studios. The shows feature CW alums such as Vanessa Morgan from Riverdale and Giacomo Gianniotti from Reign, bringing a familiar feel to the programming.

The CW has added two new scripted shows to its upcoming lineup. The future of the network's scripted programming has been in doubt since it was put up for sale and acquired by Nexstar, at which point all but a scant few majorly successful scripted shows were cancelled. While All American, All American: Homecoming, Walker, and Superman & Lois were picked up for another season apiece, the programming on The CW has largely pivoted toward unscripted shows, acquired foreign imports, and live sports.

The CW has ordered two new scripted dramas, the crime procedural “Wild Cards” and the detective drama “Sight Unseen.”

“Wild Cards” will see the return of CW stars Vanessa Morgan, known for her work on “Riverdale,” and Giacomo Gianniotti, known for “Reign,” “Grey’s Anatomy” and “From Scratch.” As for “Sight Unseen,” the drama will star newcomer Dolly Lewis, “Dmz” star Agam Darshi, “The 100” star Jarod Joseph and Daniel Gillies, known for his work on “Virgin River” and “The Vampire Diaries.”

For the first time since they shared the screen on NBC hospital drama “ER,” Eriq La Salle and Gloria Reuben are teaming up as co-stars. The two star in Hallmark’s “A Second Chance at Love,” alongside Alvina August and Jarod Joseph, Hallmark announced Wednesday.

The actors will play divorced parents Jack (La Salle) and Brenda (Reuben) to daughter Alicia (August), and in-laws to Alicia’s husband, Arnold (Joseph). For me, that means that I've been watching Gloria Reuben and Eriq La Salle nightly with my rewatch of NBC's ER.

Now, Hallmark is offering something completely different as Reuben and La Salle reconnect for A Second Chance at Love, airing on Saturday, March 26 on Hallmark Channel.

For those of you who watched ER, you know that La Salle played resident and surgeon Peter Benton, who wasn't always beloved by his coworkers.

Reuben's Jeanie Boulet, a married Pa, fell for Peter, and the two had a torrid affair in which she broke his heart.

Christmas might not be until December, but some networks are slapping on their mittens and gearing up for the holiday season as early as October.

Families often find themselves gathered around the TV binging some of Hallmark or Lifetime’s latest Christmas-themed films, and this year is no exception. With people around the country encouraged to stay indoors and avoid crowded locations, Variety breaks down a list of feel-good Christmas movies to tune into this year.

As part of Lifetime’s “It’s a Wonderful Lifetime” holiday movie slate, the channel will premiere 30 original TV movies beginning Oct. 23 and running through mid-December. In its efforts to diversify the stories it showcases, Lifetime said it worked with GLAAD and Cape (Coalition of Asian Pacifics in Entertainment) for its first-ever LGBTQ-led film “The Christmas Setup” and “A Sugar & Spice Holiday” centering on an Asian American family.

More films will be added to the list as networks announce them.

From his dynamic introduction during The 100 Season 6 Episode 11, when he arrived on-screen to find out that he was following a false god, to his remarkable role throughout The 100 Season 7.

Nelson delivered a natural story of a follower on the verge of being a leader to those on the outside like him.

Lee Majdoub took on this character that was an extension of Gabriel's story and managed to develop him in a way that captivated the audience.

It was impossible not to feel for Nelson's journey, one that was full of pain and wants and disappointment along the way. All he wanted was a place to belong, but he continued to get let down during his time in Sanctum.

Earlier last month, The 100 fandom got together in Vancouver for Unity Days 2020 to celebrate the final season of the show and to enjoy the fan-created convention once again. 

With the final season still filming, there wasn't much that could be shared by the cast. In fact, everything has been very secret this time around, and we haven't even gotten a premiere date or the promise of a potential trailer.

But that is the appeal of a convention, to give fans and cast members the chance to see one another and reflect on the legacy of the show together. 

That is exactly what happened from January 24th through January 26th, with fans and the cast alike spending the weekend together talking about their love for the show and their excitement for The 100 Season 7.

A show like The 100 is built on a passionate fanbase, so it only makes sense that the convention built around that echoes the same statement.

It was passion that pushed fans to ask for more Unity Days, and it was that reaction that pushed a fourth year of the convention coming up January 24-26, 2020.

And as any previous Unity Days attendee knows, no year is ever exactly the same. Each time the convention recreates what worked best the year before, and yet also manages to surprise the fans with unexpected ideas.

This time around that turned into Unity Days hosting their largest guest count yet, rounding out at 17 actors from the show, and that is just the backdrop for what is yet to come.

THR reports that DirecTV has renewed their Rogue TV show for a third season of 20 episodes. The order will be split into two parts, between spring of 2015 and 2016. No decision has been made yet on if this will be the final round of episodes for the show.

Rogue revolves around a female undercover detective (Thandie Newton) who works to find her son's killer and ends up working with a crime boss. The large cast includes Marton Csokas, Claudia Ferri, Ian Tracey, Jarod Joseph, Joshua Sasse, Kavan Smith, Leah Gibson, Martin Donovan, Sarah Jeffrey, Cole Hauser, Andrea Roth, Brendan Fletcher, and Alec Newman.

DirecTV is sticking with Rogue, their first original series. The satellite TV provider has ordered a second season of the suspense drama for a 2014 debut. Production on the 10 new episodes will begin in late summer.

The first season of Rogue recently finished airing, on May 29th. The cast includes Claudia Ferri, Ian Hart, Ian Tracey, Jarod Joseph, Joshua Sass, Kavan Smith, Leah Gibson, Martin Donovan, Marton Csokas, Matthew Beard, Sarah Jeffrey, and Thandie Newton.

Of the renewal, Chris Long, DirecTV’s Senior VP of Entertainment and Production, said, "We are thrilled that our first venture into original programming resonated with our subscribers who enthusiastically tuned into Rogue each week. We look forward to bringing them another season of Rogue and the chance to experience the next chapter in Grace’s life."

So actor Jarod Joseph is having a hell of a year having had the pleasure of working on Arrow, Rogue, Once Upon A Time, Fringe, The L.A. Complex and the CBS pilot Backstrom. In an exclusive interview, Jarod talked about getting his first real break as a series regular in the DirecTV drama series Rogue and some of his favorite memories from working on Arrow and Fringe.

And with Mary Margaret witnessing the death of a beloved acquaintance, what will this mean for the character going forward? Ginnifer Goodwin gave fans a preview during the show's PaleyFest panel yesterday afternoon in Los Angeles.

“What she is going through is going to shake her self-identity, her self-definition,” said the actress. “If she’s not the Snow White she can read about it in story books, then she doesn’t know who she is. That opens a lot up for her. She can get in touch with a more evolved way of protecting herself and her family."
