“Sort Of” has already gotten its send-off, but as the Canadian sitcom premieres its third and final season on Max, it’ll sort of do it all over again. The big-hearted Peabody Award-winning comedy wrapped up last month on its CBC home but will say goodbye one more as Season 3 premieres on the streamer this Thursday, Jan. 18. In the final season, Sabi is coming to terms with the feelings of grief (and the unexpected sense of freedom) that comes with the death of their father. Now, without the constraints of his expectations, Sabi will confront big questions about their identity, prompting major life changes while still trying to balance their roles as child, caregiver, worker, and person. “Sort Of” Season 3 will debut on Max with two episodes on Thursday, Jan. 18, followed by two episodes weekly through Feb. 8. You can watch with a 7-Day Free Trial of Max.

The upcoming third season of CBC and Max original comedy “Sort Of” will be its final season, co-creators Bilal Baig and Fab Filippo have announced.
The final eight-episode season will premiere in Canada on the CBC Gem streaming service on Nov. 17, releasing two episodes per week until the series finale on Dec. 8.
“We set out to tell a story about a kind of transition in Sabi’s life, and how those around them also change — and we feel in this coming season that story came to an end in a way that felt right for us,” Baig and Filippo said in a statement.
“Sort Of” follows Sabi Mehboob, played by Baig, a gender expansive millennial who is exhausted with changing themselves for the comfort of others. In the third and final season, the series will explore Sabi’s journey coming to terms with feelings of both grief and freedom after their father’s passing.

In the second season premiere of the wonderful Canadian dramedy Sort Of, Sabi Mehboob (Bilal Baig) expresses a hope of finding “normal love.” Asked what that phrase means, Sabi explains, “You know: easy, uncomplicated — probably what Rachel McAdams has.”
Regardless of what Rachel McAdams is actually dealing with in that department, Sabi’s own love life — and their life in general — tends to be difficult and complicated. Watch the Trailer for Doors: "Without explanation or warning, a number of mysterious, alien “doors” suddenly appear in every corner of the globe. While many of those that encounter these sentient visitors feel the strange urge to interact with them – never to be seen again – others stay behind to face the potential threat of what their ultimate agenda towards mankind is. In a rush to determine the reason for the arrival of these cosmic anomalies, the government enlists volunteers to brave the journey to enter the doors so that we might learn more about their origin or purpose. But even these brave volunteers are not prepared for what lies beyond the threshold. The story of the doors is told through multiple perspectives: a ragtag band of high school students discover a door for the first time, volunteers explore the parallel reality beyond the threshold, and a lonesome hermit manages the...

Exclusive: Schitt’s Creek has become the show to emulate when it comes to Canadian producers looking to find success outside of the Great White North.
Starting as a small comedy on Canadian public broadcaster, it has become a huge hit in the U.S. and around the world after launching on Pop TV and subsequently Netflix and stands a good chance at this weekend’s Emmys. It is one of a handful of Canadian shows, along with the likes of Nickelodeon’s Paw Patrol, to become as successful as any comedy south of the border.
Now, a government-backed scheme has identified six Canadian producers with projects that they hope to replicate this success.
The Canadian Creative Accelerator, which is backed by the Trade Commissioner Service of the Consulate General of Canada in Los Angeles and the Government of Quebec, has highlighted six shows that will receive help and money to break out in the States.

Guidestones.org has its debut episode online, and the content it delivers is certainly mysterious as the monolith that stands in Elbert County, Georgia. The game is afoot, and this interactive online series is ready to tease as well as tantalize.
The producers of this show certainly understand the medium of creating a television show for the internet generation well. When plenty of distractions can arise while web surfing, the segments offered here are short. The first episode clocks in at about three minutes and it ends with a cliffhanger. The length is perfect to build the suspense and the production quality is in par with the summer blockbusters.
Viewers will have to either wait for the next episode by joining a mailing list, or visit on their own terms. Either way, this series will no doubt draw new viewers in. By signing up, supplemental material will be emailed out.

Just what purpose does the Georgia Guidestones serve? To the people who have been to Elbert County in the state of Georgia to see them, what exists there are six granite slabs with inscriptions. Writer and director Jay Ferguson has observed that the writing inscribed on them is very prescriptive. His web series, "Guidestones," will explore possible answers in a 50-episode run.
“They really do seem to offer advice for a 'future' civilization,” says this director. "Perhaps these 'commandments' have come from what the builders presume to be good practices in past civilization building?”
Each episode will have a varying run time from a minute to five each, and, depending on what viewers choose to receive to view, get offered tantalizing clues of the 'truth.'
