Killer Camp, The CW’s adaptation of the British non-scripted format, has been pulled from the youth-skewing network after only two episodes.

The series, which sees a group of 13 campers navigate their way through twists and surprises while competing to expose a ‘killer’ among them in return for a cash prize, premiered on Sunday October 10.

The second episode aired on Sunday October 18 but it has been subsequently replaced by repeats of Dean Cain-hosted Masters of Illusion going forward.

The first episode of the season launched with 155,00 viewers and a 0.05 in the 18-49 demo, while the second episode got 164,000 viewers and a 0.03 in the demo.

Sources tell Deadline that the show is likely to return to the linear schedule at some point.

British entertainment formats Would I Lie To You? and Killer Camp are being remade in the U.S. by The CW with The Good Fight creators Robert and Michelle King exec producing the former.

The youth-skewing network is adapting the two shows as part of an expanded unscripted line-up, which includes a U.S. version of Whose Line Is It Anyway, World’s Funniest Animals and Penn & Teller: Fool Us.

Would I Lie To You?, which has run on BBC One for 14 seasons, sees a team of celebrities try and ascertain truth from fiction with questions and stories. The UK series is hosted by Gavin & Stacey star Rob Brydon with Back and Peep Show star David Mitchell and Not Going Out star Lee Mach as team captains.

It will be remade by Ink Master producer Truly Original, which is owned by Banijay, the company that now owns original UK producer Zeppotron.

The CW has ordered U.S. adaptations for a pair of British imports: “Killer Camp” and “Would I Lie to You.”

“Would I Lie to You” is a comedy panel show that sees two team captains joined by a cast of celebrity guests who weave elaborate tales… that may or may not be the truth. Competing teams then ask questions and watch body language to determine which are crazy but true, and which are made-up stories.

The U.K. version was hosted by Rob Brydon and featured Lee Mack and David Mitchell as the team captains. The U.S. version will be produced by Banijay’s Truly Original, with Steven Weinstock, Glenda Hersh, Robert King, Michelle King, Liz Glotzer and Aasif Mandvi executive producing.

To help get its viewers up to speed, The CW has also acquired two seasons of the British verison.

Let’s start with the premises of the Killer Camp. Don’t get killed and figure out the identity of the murderer. That’s it. Now, this being a reality show, there isn’t any real murders, that we know of, but the premise is a reality show shaped liked a horror film. The contestants, which we will get to in a second, are stuck at a summer camp with serial killer, Bruce, who is controlled by one of the contestants, “murdering” a person each episode. The remaining contestants must work together, while not trusting anyone, to figure out the identity of the true killer/saboteur of the camp.

Tonight, the U.K. reality show Killer Camp is set to make its debut here on U.S. airwaves on the CW at 8:00 pm Est. The setup involves 11 participants showing up for a new show called “Summer Camp,” but when they arrive, they’re in for a huge shock as they are told that the project they’re involved in is actually a horror whodunit where most of them will be “murdered,” and one of them is actually the camp “murderer.”

As someone who doesn’t partake in a lot of reality shows, I wasn’t sure how I was going to feel about Killer Camp, but I really enjoyed how they mix up the formula here, and instead of giving audiences a straight-up competition show, there’s a bit of a dramatic flair going on as well, which I thought was rather refreshing.
