Biography

Solana Paz is an Argentinian-American actress and producer. She started her career on the stage in Buenos Aires, Argentina and made her film debut shortly after arriving in California, in 2001 in the short film Turning On Trent produced by Lucid Dream Films. She is quite unique in that she has a wide range, she can perform in both English and Spanish, and she has an accent. She's been in dozens of films, performing in both languages.

With a wide range and a particular passion and extensive training in comedy, she works mainly in Los Angeles and the San Francisco Bay Area.

Solana won her first Producer award in 2021, Davey Award, for her video "International Women's Day." Her producing also includes short films, PSAs and a TV pilot, and both her producing and acting coaching also encompass the Young Actors Film Acting Workshops (YAFAW), held during summers to help educate the next generation of actors and performers. She is passionate about working with youth and advancing youth causes, as well as supporting female film makers, actors and artists across the board.

Solana is very active particularly in the Bay Area community, where she sees there's a lot of untapped potential. She started the Bay Area Film Folks & Friends group during the pandemic, which has resulted in numerous connections and new projects starting, and still gathers regularly.
