Kohl Bladen was born at Northridge Hospital in Los Angeles, California to his parents Tracy Anderson and Vaughn Bladen. He grew up in the film industry, going to work with his Father every opportunity he was able to. His infatuation with horror films began during a set visit to Buffy the Vampire Slayer, during the filming of it's first season. He began watching horror films at a young age and saw the film Psycho when he was fifteen. Alfred Hitchcock's masterpiece installed a new fear in Kohl that he had never felt or experienced before and it was at that moment, he knew he wanted to direct Horror films.
After attending Colorado Mesa University, he graduated with a degree in film and television production. While there he also took a class in Criminal Justice, to help bring realism to his writing and storytelling. Kohl moved back to Los Angeles in 2009, immediately landing a job on Inception during the film's production stint in Los Angeles. From there his career started in the film industry, where he has now worked for almost thirteen years.
Kohl began producing short films in 2011, experimenting with storytelling styles like Hitchcock, Carpenter, and Rob Zombie. Almost 9 years later he wrote, produced, and directed his first feature length film "The House Across the Bridge", which has become the turning point in his career.
