Anthony came to acting late in life and as a result he has a fountain
of knowledge to delve into, He is a qualified chef spending six years
working in a number of exclusive restaurants throughout the world. When
he returned to Ireland he talked himself into a job selling furniture,
at the funeral of his fathers uncle, Anthony discovered he was related
to the late David Kelly. After speaking with David he was convinced
acting was his calling. He has dedicated himself to acting ever since.
In 1998 he started a three year Diploma in Performance for Screen and
Theatre in Liberties College, Dublin. Since then he has honed his
skills with Advanced and Masterclass courses in film acting with Vinny
Murphy and Terry McMahon, respectively.
After completing college, Tony started off with smaller roles in
feature films such as 'Veronica Geurin' and 'About Adam' as well as a
long list of leading roles in short films such as 'Tango in D Minor'
and 'Interrogation Room'.Other credits include a lead role in the TV
docu-drama 'Death or Canada' (Tile Productions) 'On God's Mission'
(Tyrone Productions). Anthony always sites the award winning feature
film 'Charlie Cassanova'(Terry McMahon), as one of his most important
projects of his career to date. He has since worked with Terry again on
his other award winning feature Patrick's Day released in 2014. He has
had lead role in a number of features and shorts including the award
winning feature The Late Men (Van Poynton)and the award winning short
Unfold( Steven Daly), other credits include Cold directed by Eoin
Macken staring Tom Hopper and Jack Raynor.His Television credits
include a long run in the popular Irish soap Fair City where he played
the bad boy character Collie, he still gets stopped in the streets of
Dublin and asked if he is as bad as his character. His future projects
include the feature film The Wake and The Legend of Harry and Ambrose'
to Shoot in September.
