Power Rangers Super Samurai – Volume 2: Rise of the Bullzooka is the second volume of episodes from the follow-up series to Power Rangers Samurai. This generation of rangers is comprised of Red Ranger Jayden (Alex Heartman), Blue Ranger Kevin (Najee De-Tiege), Pink Ranger Mia (Erika Fong), Green Ranger Mike (Hector David Jr.), Yellow Ranger Emily (Brittany Anne Pirtle) and Gold Ranger Antonio (Steven Skyler). Together they are tasked with protecting innocent civilians from a variety of threats from evil Lord Serrator who unveils his mysterious master plan to enslave Earth with his Mooger and Spitfang army – battling against a duplicating Nighlok, Kevin and Mike getting stuck together with a sticky glue glob and overcoming an intense hunger toxin!

Confession time: I have a soft spot for the Power Rangers. From the very first time I saw the original series debut in an early morning slot on ITV, to the shows recent marathon showings on satellite channel Kix!, I’ve kept up with the franchise even if I haven’t seen every episode. For me the show lost it’s way a little once Disney took the reigns – they obviously chose to aim the series at a younger audience than previously, often toning down the violence and over-simplifying the shows stories (it’s especially obvious if you take a look at the original Far East iteration of the show). So when news broke that Saban had bought back the rights to the series...

Calling all Power Ranger fans of old and new! FremantleMedia Enterprises have announced that they are to release Power Rangers Samurai: The Team Unites on DVD on October 29th. After a long two and a half year wait, Power Rangers return to DVD, recharged, revived and ready to go along with on terrestrial TV via Channel 5 for the first time ever!
The Power Rangers team must master the ancient Symbols of Samurai Power which give them control over the elements of Fire, Water, Sky, Forest and Earth. Under the guidance of their all-knowing mentor and with the aid of their devoted animal Zords, they battle the dark forces of the Netherworld and a mysterious warrior bent on destruction.
When the evil Master Xandred finds a way to escape his dark prison by ship on the evil Sanzu River in the Netherland, the modern day Samurai Power Rangers are called to action.
