Chicago – Time travel “what ifs” and cruise ships has never been so close to our current reality, and it’s present in the unique film “Same Boat,” directed by Chris Roberti and co-written by Roberti with Josh Itzkowitz. The VOD release for the film is Tuesday, April 7th.
The very funny, warm and philosophical film presupposes a future in which time traveler assassins come back to save their world – which has been devastated through bad decisions in the past – by killing the people who will affect that devastation. James and his “intern” Mot (Julie Schonberg) are assigned the hit on Lilly (Tonya Glanz), who is vacationing on a cruise ship, but complications arise when James begins to have feelings for the target. The whip-sharp comedy is full of authentic laughs derived from the plot and situations, plus the always weird vibe of a cruise ship. Roberti and Itzkowitz have fashioned...

With writers Josh Itzkowitz and Mark Leidner as well as Chris Roberti who also directs, Same Boat is a low-low-low-budget sci-fi flick with splashes of comedy that tells the tale of a time travelling assassin called James who is sent to kill a woman, but when he loses his important documents he finds himself falling for the very woman he was sent to snuff out. It’s a love story with a difference, I guess you could say.
Roberti, the writer and director responsible for Same Boat, plays the lead of James, who finds himself sent from the 80s to the distant and wacky future world of… 2018, to kill those responsible for the atrociousness that is… reality television. James and his helper-slash-partner Mot (Julia Schonberg) board a...

Isn`t that always the way with love? You travel back in time, just doing your job assassinating people, as you do, and you end up falling for your target. A show of hands, who has been there before, right? Chris Roberti's new film, Same Boat, wonders the same. Directed and starring Roberti, which he wrote along with Empathy Inc's Josh Itzkowitz (producer) and Mark Leidner (writer), this timey wimey rom-com was shot in secret onboard a cruise ship. On your average day a cruise ship is a sketchy place to be, but to film a timey wimey rom-com in secret on one and not get dumped off at the nearest port? So here is the premiere of the new key art and...
