With over one million collective views on YouTube and over 650,000 social media followers, World Music touring Tunisian/Indian violinist, singer and actress Yasmine Azaiez has performed in some of the most famous venues worldwide, including The Royal Albert Hall in London, Bimhuis in Amsterdam, The Cultural Center in Beijing, The Cairo Royal Opera House, Jordan Hall in Boston, and The Oman Royal Opera house. Yasmine and her band have also played at the prestigious National festival Carthage Festival in Tunisia, which was attended by 7,000 people.
She has performed with many legendary musicians such as Naseer Shamma, Mistlav Rostropovich, Cory Pesaturo (Guinness Book of World Records holder), Kinan Azmeh (current member of the Silk Road ensemble with YoYo Ma), Ramy Ayach, Rami Khalifa and Joe Morris. She has been sponsored by Wood violins and in 2017 she was sponsored by Samsung Tunisia.
Specializing in Middle Eastern music and Jazz, Yasmine studied at the prestigious Yehudi Menuhin School in the UK and New England Conservatory in Boston.
In 2019, Yasmine Azaiez created the first large violin competition in Tunisia, sponsored by the British Council, created to encourage the Tunisian youth to pursue their passions in music. In Tunisia, Yasmine has been recognized for her many achievements. She was invited to play the National Anthem at the Presidential Palace in front of the Late President, Beji Caid Essebsi, elected one of the 100 Future Leaders of Tunisia in 2017. She has also been on the Jury of Miss Tunisia.
As an actress, Yasmine studied musical theatre as a child and teenager in London, UK and continued to study privately with Canadian actor and teacher James Sirois. She has featured in several short films and feature films, including 'Histoires Tunisiennes' in the lead role Chams, directed by Nada Mezni Hafaidh.
