David Michael Stapp fell in love with the art of Filmmaking during his
middle school years, and has been actively sharpening skills ever
since. Over the years, he has produced music videos, promotional
videos, and original short films.
His first original short film was entitled "Life After Death", and premiered at the Campus Moviefest Regional Finale at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. His film won the award for "Best Drama", and was nominated for "Best Director" at the Campus Moviefest Grand Finale in Los Angeles, California. His second short film was entitled "Cross Country", and was a self-funded project that was an official selection at the East Coast Student Film Festival. His third short film was another self-funded project, entitled "Reckoning", which was a western that took over one year to complete.
David Stapp is a senior at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, and is the co-founder of B&G Studios, a student based film production group. This group was founded by David and his colleague Jesse Ashe in September 2011. Both David and Jesse are Media Studies majors, and will graduate in the class of 2013.
