The NFC Wild Card Playoffs conclude on Monday Night Football when the Tampa Bay Buccaneers host the Philadelphia Eagles from Raymond James Stadium on Monday, Jan. 15 with kickoff at 8 p.m. Et. The Buccaneers (9-8) will be looking for revenge after getting shellacked by the Eagles back in Week 3. They were outmatched in that game in almost every metric, including yards (472-174), plays (78-44), and scoring (25-11). Since then, the Bucs have done some damage. They finished first in the NFC South division and ended the season winning five of their final six games. Jalen Hurts and the Eagles (11-6), meanwhile, hope to keep their seventh-ranked offense pumping against Tampa Bay’s sixth-ranked defense allowing 19.1 points against per game. When the 2023 Emmy Award nominations were announced back in July, it was expected that shows like "The Last of Us" and "Succession" would dominate the playing field. What was surprising to many fans, however, was that the Netflix juggernaut "Stranger Things" was shut out of the series and acting categories. Breakout star Joseph Quinn stole the show with his turn as metalhead Eddie Munson, while Sadie Sink's Max Mayfield was at the center of arguably one of the best scenes in the series' entire run. Well, the reason for the so-called snubbing of "Stranger Things" has nothing to do with the quality of work, and everything to do with eligibility rules.
Back in June 2022, the TV Academy finally got rid of the "hangover episode rule," which made it so series that debuted before the May 31 cut-off could include episodes that aired after the eligibility deadline, but before nomination voting,...

When Stranger Things season 4 concluded its feature-length final episode in July 2022, the show’s characters seemed ready to roll right into the their fifth and final season.
The newly-revealed big bad Vecna a.k.a. Henry Creel a.k.a. Number One (Jamie Campbell Bower) had been stopped but not fully defeated. The ultimate battle for Hawkins, Indiana and the world at large was just on the horizon and our heroes Mike Wheeler (Finn Wolfhard), Will Byers (Noah Schnapp), Lucas Sinclair (Caleb McLaughlin), Dustin Henderson (Gaten Matarazzo), Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown), and their many allies were prepared to wage it.
Of course, that was over a year ago now and Stranger Things season 5 still isn’t making its way to our respective Netflix streams any time soon. Part of that was expected – this is a very big show that takes a long time for creators The Duffer Brothers and their...

In one of the more introspective chapters of "The Mandalorian," the titular Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) has to traverse uncomfortable territory in season 2, episode 7 "The Believer" (directed by Rick Famuyiwa). To infiltrate an Imperial refinery on the Imperial-occupied planet of Morak, the Mandalorian has to bend his Mandalorian Creed to don the Imperial armor and then play the role of a loyal Imperial underling in order to snag intel that could save the life of Grogu, his foundling. He and his accomplice Migs Mayfield (Bill Burr), a former stormtrooper, hijack a transport, and Din ends up getting into some fisticuffs with some humanoid Shydopps pirates atop the transports. Along the way, Mayfield also barrages Din with some philosophical and existential questions about the moral grays of the galaxy: the desperate lengths the otherwise pious Din would go to circumvent...

The cooking competition TV show MasterChef has been a hit since 2010. And it almost seems as if each season is more intense than the last. Whether you are tuning in to get a glimpse of the amazing dishes, or if you just enjoy hearing foul-mouthed judge Gordon Ramsay’s insulting comments, there is no denying that the show is entertaining. Each season, home cooks line up in hopes of being selected as a contestant on the show. But it is not easy to get one of those white aprons. As part of a grueling audition process, MasterChef potential contestants have to prepare a signature dish.

1992 was a breakout year for Brendan Fraser, who demonstrated his impressive range with star turns in the cult comedy hit "Encino Man" and the hard-hitting drama "School Ties." Fraser continued that trend of displaying serious dramatic abilities alongside his talent for playing what he once told GQ are "naif characters" and "fish out of water" types in '90s comedies like "George of the Jungle" and "Blast From the Past." Then there was the unfortunate "Dudley Do-Right" which signaled the end of that particular golden age.
With his resurgence in Darren Aronofsky's "The Whale," Fraser has reminded us all of his impressive dramatic talents. But for many, it was those outsider characters, stumbling wide-eyed through worlds they didn't fully understand, that defined the actor's appeal. And while "George Of The Jungle" was perhaps the biggest hit within that particular Fraser subgenre, affectionately termed his "himbo" movies, it all started with "Encino Man.

Chip Gaines, star of the popular HGTV show Fixer Upper, was once sued by two of his former Magnolia Realty business partners for over 1 million. Here’s why Gaines’ partners filed a lawsuit against him and how the case ended.

In 2017, two of Chip Gaines’ former business partners, John L. Lewis and Richard L. Clark, sued the Fixer Upper star for more than 1 million.
Lewis and Clark claimed that Gaines convinced them to sell their one-third ownership stakes in Magnolia Realty for 2,500 apiece in May 2013, withholding the information that those stakes were about to skyrocket in value due to the HGTV show. They demanded either over 1 million and their ownership stakes back, or compensation for what their stakes in Magnolia Realty would be worth had they known about Fixer Upper’s success.

1992's "Encino Man" is, as the trailer puts it, about "a caveman who just stepped into the 20th Century." Luckily for him, two slackers from Encino, California are the ones to guide the Cro-Magnon dude through the ways of teenage living. It's always fun to imagine the pitch meeting for these oddball movies, but I can't imagine how "Encino Man" was sold to Disney. The director, Les Mayfield, hadn't made a feature film before, there were no major stars onboard, the plot sounded like something no one asked for, and if you're going to try to capitalize on the popularity of '90s California surfer/stoner culture, Encino seems like one of the least recognizably Californian locales you could choose. This is probably why every other country in which it was released renamed it "California Man."
But, for whatever reason, the movie was not only a box office success, it...

With the nominations for the 95th Academy Awards upon us, comeback kid Brendan Fraser is poised to win an Oscar for his heartbreaking, gut-wrenching performance in Darren Aronofsky's "The Whale" (read /Film's spot on review of the film here). If Fraser, famous for his swashbuckling days as Rick O'Connell in "The Mummy" franchise and off-the-wall comedies like "Airheads," wasn't ever considered a serious dramatic actor, he is now. Appearing as a guest on the "Saturday Night Live" deep dive podcast "Fly on the Wall" hosted by Dana Carvey and David Spade, Fraser opened up about his early days in the business when he was determined to be taken seriously as a performer.
Having just enjoyed some notoriety for his breakout role in "School Ties" (a film about a football star forced to confront anti-Semitism at a 1950s prep school), Fraser was trying to decide if playing a blockhead caveman...

Cast: Zac Efron, Taylor Schilling, Blythe Danner
Running Time: 1 hr 41 mins
Rating: PG-13
Release Date: April 20, 2012
Plot: Based on a Nicholas Sparks’ novel, a soldier (Efron) travels to Louisiana, looking for an unknown woman (Schilling) who became his good luck charm during the war.
Who’S It For? Do you want a chance to drool over Efron? That’s it.
Expectations: It’s Sparks plus Efron. Look, Charlie St. Cloud wasn’t awful. Dear John could’ve been worse. Let’s just say I was open-minded with a little bit of worry mixed in.
Scorecard (0-10)
