- Patrick Peterson's 99-yard punt return TD in overtime against St. Louis in Week 9 of the '11 campaign was the second-longest punt return in NFL history (103, Robert Bailey, 10/23/94). It also tied for the longest play in overtime in NFL history (99-yard pass from Philadelphia's Ron Jaworski to Mike Quick, 11/10/85).
- Patrick Peterson was named NFC Special Teams Player of the Month for November during the 2011 season.
- A Pro Bowler in each of his first three seasons (Kick Returner, 2011; Cornerback, 2012-13), Patrick Peterson earned his fourth career Pro Bowl selection in 2014. In doing so, he joined an elite group of NFL Hall of Famers. He now joins RBs Jim Brown, Barry Sanders and Emmitt Smith as the only players in NFL history to be chosen to four Pro Bowls before their 25th birthday. He is the only defensive player in NFL history to earn that distinction.
- With punt return TDs of 99, 89, 82 and 80 yards in '11, Patrick Peterson became the first player in NFL history with four punt return TDs of 80+ yards in a single season.
- In his first four NFL seasons, Patrick Peterson started all 64 regular season games at cornerback and recorded 208 tackles, 15 INTs (one returned for a TD), two sacks, 68 passes defensed and a fumble recovery. Also started the Cardinals Wild Card matchup at Carolina in 2014.
- Patrick Peterson established an NFL rookie record with 699 punt return yards, surpassing the previous record of 656, set by Pittsburgh's Louis Lipps in 1984. In addition to being a rookie record, his 699 punt return yards rank as the second-highest single-season total in NFL history behind Desmond Howard's 875 yards for Green Bay in 1996.
- Patrick Peterson led the NFL in punt return yards (699) and TDs (four) in '11 while finishing second in punt return average (15.9) behind Chicago's Devin Hester (16.2).
- Patrick Peterson joins Hall of Famers Jim Brown, Barry Sanders and Emmitt Smith as the only players in NFL history to be chosen to four Pro Bowls before their 25th birthday. Peterson also joins Hall of Famer Ollie Matson as the only players in team history to be selected to the Pro Bowl in each of his first four NFL seasons.
- In Week 10 of the 2014 season vs. St. Louis, Patrick Peterson was named NFC Defensive Player of the Week after recording two fourth quarter INTs against the Rams, returning the second one 30 yards for his first career INT return TD. He has been named NFC Defensive Player of the Week twice in his career (Week 4 of '13 season at Tampa Bay), NFC Special Teams Player of the Week twice (Weeks 9 and 12 of the '11) season and Special Teams Player of the Month (November 2011).
- In 2012, Patrick Peterson ranked fourth in the NFL with seven INTs and became the first Cardinals player since Aeneas Williams in 1994 to record an INT in four consecutive games (Games 11-14).
- Voted to his fourth straight Pro Bowl in 2014; Patrick Peterson has been selected to the Pro Bowl three times at cornerback (2012-14) and once as a kick returner (2011). Peterson has also earned first team All-Pro honors at both cornerback (2013) and kick returner (2011). Peterson and Hall of Famer Rod Woodson are the only NFL players ever to be selected to the Pro Bowl as both a defender and kick returner.
- The Cardinals first-round selection in the 2011 NFL Draft and the fifth overall pick, Patrick Peterson was the first cornerback taken in draft. He signed a five-year extension on 7/29/14 that will keep him under contract with the Cardinals through 2020.
- In Week 2 of the '13 season vs. Detroit, Patrick Peterson became the first NFL defender since at least the 1970 merger to post a reception and a completion in the same game. Peterson's gloves as well as the football used on the pass completion are now on display at the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, OH.
- Patrick Peterson joins teammate Calais Campbell as the only players in franchise history to earn Player of the Week honors on both special teams and defense.
- Patrick Peterson's 15 INTs dating back to 2011 are tied with Chicago's Tim Jennings for the second-highest total in the NFL during that span behind only Seattle's Richard Sherman (24).
- Patrick Peterson is a cousin of former Cardinals and Steelers Bryant McFadden, Walter McFadden and wide receivers Santana Moss and Sinorice Moss.
- In Patrick Peterson's fourth NFL season, he started all 16 games while covering the top WRs in the NFL on his way to a spot in the Pro Bowl. In the Cardinals Week 11 win vs. Detroit, Peterson was matched up with Lions All-Pro WR Calvin Johnson for the majority of the game and he held the four-time Pro Bowler to just 59 yards and no TDs on five receptions. It marked the second time in three games that Peterson went head-to-head with a Pro Bowl receiver and effectively took them out of the game. In Week 9 at Dallas, Peterson held WR Dez Bryant to just two receptions for 15 yards in the win over the Cowboys. In between those matchups against Pro Bowl receivers, Peterson earned NFC Defensive Player of the Week honors for his performance against the Rams in Week 10, when he registered two INTs, the second of which he returned 30 yards for his first career INT return TD. Peterson then sealed the Cards Week 15 win with his INT of Rams QB Shaun Hill on the final play of the game. Since entering the NFL in 2011, Peterson is tied with Chicago's Tim Jennings (15) for the second-highest INT total in the NFL.
- As a rookie in 2011, Patrick Peterson tied the NFL record and became just the fourth player in league history to return four punts for TDs in a single season. Joined Jack Christiansen (Detroit, 1951) as the only rookies in NFL history with four punt return TDs during their inaugural season.
