Derek Stettler is a Swiss-American filmmaker and writer. Foregoing film school, Derek sought his own education to work in various roles on short films, music videos, and commercials while learning from masters of the craft as he interviewed them for articles in American Cinematographer, the International Cinematographers Guild, and Camera Operator magazines. In early 2020, the desire to share his conversations with a wider audience led Derek to launch the Art of the Shot, a filmmaking podcast that dives deep into the minds of celebrated filmmakers.
