Waleska Latorre
- Actress
Waleska is a film and television actress with a bachelor of fine arts
in performing arts(theatre concentration)from the University of
Louisiana. She fell in love with acting when she played her first role
as the wicked witch in the Wizard of Oz at the age of 12. After her
first theatrical performance she modeled for various shopping centers
and stores, as well as appeared in advertisements in her hometown in
Louisiana. She enrolled in a modeling competition in Orlando, Florida
where she won an award for most photogenic. In Louisiana, Waleska also
competed in a local beauty pageant and placed 2nd in the competition.
While in college she was cast as the main role, Kinume, in her very
first audition for a university production of Rashomon and went on to
performing various characters in many more plays. After finishing with
college she moved to New York City to pursue her dream of acting.
Feeling discouraged after appearing in many shows and films as a background actor and discovering a brain tumor Waleska took a break from acting. She focused on her health and later returned to her acting career which soon after landed her a commercial role for Time Warner. She was also selected as a featured model for Inc. Magazine and performed improvisation comedy at the NY Comedy Club. She went on to having a few under-5 roles on television before deciding to move to Europe. Waleska worked as a host for a live television show that aired in Canada, appeared in an international Kellogg's commercial for Australia and will be working on several films this year. She also writes scripts in her spare time. Waleska spends her time in both Budapest and New York working on films and television shows.
