Jerry Hayes is best known for acting in indie films & was part of a rotating cast of players on the local based anthology indie show "Lee Martins the Midnight Hour". Jerry began acting & studying the art of acting at the age of 12. Making his stage debut, with fellow actor Don Couture. Acting in numerous plays including- "Tell-Tale Heart", "Arsenic & Old Lace" & "Heaven Can Wait". By the age of 15, he made his directorial debut. Both acting & directing in Michael Gazzo's "A Hatful of Rain".

After years of studying acting with numerous teachers, reading extensively to explore & apply many tools when needed. Jerry became absorbed in the works of Stanislavsky & his pupils. Also the discoveries of the great American acting teachers. Always keeping his method open to whatever is needed to live truthfully in the imaginary given circumstances. After studying acting with Emmy award -winning director Ann-Marie McHugh, and going to an audition with famed German actor Jürgen Prochnow. Prochnow expressed his belief in Jerry's talent & encouraged him to go to L.A to pursue a career as a film actor.

Just prior Hayes met a famous TV/film actor Robert Wagner {Hart to Hart/It takes a Thief}- who had known & worked with one of his favorite actors from the early days of film- Spencer Tracy. After being given heart-felt advice passed down from Spencer Tracy. Jerry then decided it was time to move to L.A to pursue his love for film acting. He began studying at Jeff Goldblum & Robert Carnegies Playhouse West. Carnagie had great belief in Jerrys passion for acting. As he studied with Tony Savant & Holly Gagnier. He soon met TV/film actor- Timothy Gibbs {One Life to Live/Another World}. Both shared a mutual respect for the craft of truthful acting. Hayes then returned home. Then at the urging of Gibbs -Hayes acted & directed his own short films. His passion for film acting was fueled. Soon after Jerry's journey would come to a halt. After years he had discovered a life altering illness of later stage lymes disease.

Yet 13 years later he decided to find some joy in local Indies. Hayes was also recovering miraculously from a stroke. Finally, from the urging of an old friend to pace himself, to find some joy & to act in Indies. Then also by his childhood acting friend Couture. Hayes returned where he left off, acting in local Indies. Then was cast in episodes of the local indie show Lee Martin's The Midnight Hour". And became part of the rotating cast of players. Very proud of his collaborations with Lee Martin on the local indie show. Soon was cast as Bronson "the Hitman" in the indie feature "Getting Out. He has done numerous shorts & indie feature. Including playing the Sultan in "Aladdin 3477", Judge Gannon in "Who will Move the Stone", detective Morris in "Into A dark Mind". As well as "Artificial Loyalty", "Moving Parts" & "Taken Over".

Along with his respect for the art acting, the audience, his peers and himself. He always gives his best as a focused, skilled, passionate, truthful & realistic actor. Enriching others' lives as well as his own. Jerry is back to the art he loves acting in Indies. Once again creating & sharing. Feeling very centered & expressed finally arriving back home to the art he has loved since childhood.
