On Oct. 1, 2018, he was arrested in Costa Mesa, CA, on a variety of charges including weapons and controlled substance violations, after holing up inside a house as police waited 13 hours for him to emerge. Police were called to the house at approximately 3:30 am regarding "suspicious circumstances". Purser was inside the house holding a woman hostage, threatened to harm her and refused to come out or let her come out, police said. At approximately 5:00 pm he emerged from the house and was arrested. Police found two loaded handguns, 12 oz. of cocaine, 17 Adderall pills and $15,000 in cash on him. He was charged with several felony and misdemeanor drug and weapons violations.
