Multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter and producer vaultboy continues his recent string of releases with his new single, “where tf have you been?”. The song follows vaultboy enjoying the rush of a new love, while simultaneously dealing with the frustration of not finding said love earlier.
“This song is about loving someone so much that you’re actually mad that they didn’t come into your life sooner. It’s sarcastic and dramatic and was a lot of fun to make. I hope it can be one of the songs people blast in the car when they’re with their significant other having a good time,” said vaultboy.
Dubbed “the King of Sad Songs” by Rolling Stone, vaultboy is no stranger to being vulnerable and wearing his heart on his sleeve. This time, vaultboy takes a more playful and comedic approach, delivering an uptempo track with electronic tendencies. His latest release follows “everything,...

Singer-songwriter Ani Difranco will make her Broadway debut as ‘Persephone’ in the hit musical Hadestown, performing the role she originated on the 2010 studio-concept album by composer Anaïs Mitchell.
Difranco will begin performances at the Walter Kerr Theatre on February 9, 2024. The announcement was made today by producers Mara Isaacs, Dale Franzen, Hunter Arnold, and Tom Kirdahy.
Difranco’s history with Hadestown began when she invited Mitchell to release the original studio album of Hadestown on Difranco’s label Righteous Babe Records. Difranco originated the role of ‘Persephone’ on the album, leaving what the producers’ announcement today described as “an indelible imprint on the character as the show evolved over the course of several years.”
“I could not be more thrilled to be joining the cast of Hadestown,” Difranco said in a statement. “It’s like I get to rewind to my New York youth and follow the road not taken.”

Changes are coming to the Greek underworld — at least as it appears on Broadway. Australian pop musician Betty Who and Tony nominee Phillip Boykin are set to take over the leading roles of Persephone and Hades, respectively, in the hit musical, Hadestown, starting Sept. 5.
The complex, fraught relationship between Persephone and Hades provides one of the two main storylines in Hadestown. In Greek mythology, Persephone is the daughter of Zeus and Demeter, and Hades (technically her uncle) is allowed to abduct her and make her Queen of the Underworld. In Hadestown,...

Update: Donald Trump continued to rail against the federal indictment against him at his second appearance on Saturday, this time at a Republican state convention in North Carolina.
“In the end they are not coming after me, they are coming after you, and I am just standing in their way,” Trump said in the speech, repeating past rhetoric that has tried to connect attacks on him to attacks on his fervid followers.
Trump also brought up the abrupt dismissal of Chris Licht this week as the CEO of CNN. The former president took credit for CNN’s ratings bump from his town hall last month. The town hall drew an intense backlash within CNN, but Licht’s departure also came after a devastating 15,000 word profile in The Atlantic. Trump said, “Everything was beautiful and they got tremendous numbers, and they fired him. He’s gone now. Mr. Licht, sorry about that.

Lea Michele had the opportunity to live out a dream on Thursday when she opened the 96th annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade singing, fittingly, her rafter-raising rendition of “Don’t Rain on My Parade.”
The “Glee” star, who is currently starring on Broadway as Fanny Brice in “Funny Girl” and shown above rehearsing for her parade performance, kicked off the festivities with the musical theater classic first made famous by Barbra Streisand (and originated in this Broadway revival by Beanie Feldstein).
Despite Michele’s demands to not rain on her parade, some on social media still tried to do just that.
“No way the thanksgiving day parade began with lea michele jumpscare,” one user tweeted with a crying emoji.
Another questioned why the Thanksgiving Day Parade didn’t give a “trigger warning” when Michele began singing, while another shared a meme of Mateo of NBC comedy “Super Store” signing a cross over his chest,...

We R Who We R, and that's devoted Conjuring Kesha fans. The supernatural series stars pop star Kesha as she checks off her paranormal bucket list, including a visit to the spooky Brushy Mountain State Penitentiary and trekking into the allegedly Big Foot-infested woods in Mount Shasta. But Conjuring Kesha would be nothing without the "Praying" singer's slew of friends, who are open to exploring the strange and unusual places. Season one saw comedian Whitney Cummings making a connection with a potential malevolent spirit, rapper GaTa fleeing the notoriously haunted Westerfeld House and Betty Who hearing unexplained footsteps in the Antoinette Hall Opera...

There was plenty of action on, around and above the MTV VMA stages at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, on Sunday night: Taylor Swift made a surprise appearance and not only took home the prize for Video of the Year (for “All Too Well”), she also announced her forthcoming new album, “Midnights”; Nicki Minaj took home the Video Vanguard award and delivered a performance that ranged from pink pop to torture-porn; and Latin had a bigger look than ever before, with eye-popping performances from Bad Bunny, J Balvin and Anitta, the latter of whom became the first Brazilian artist to win Best Latin Artist for her song “Envolver.”

After the U.S. Supreme Court on Wednesday night denied a request to issue emergency relief blocking Texas’ new law that bans abortion at six weeks and, say opponents, effectively eliminates access to abortions statewide, some big names in entertainment expressed their opinions about the legislation.
A group of prominent actors, musicians and other artists and companies swiftly responded to the news on social media. Reese Witherspoon, Alyssa Milano, Dua Lipa, Kerry Washington, St. Vincent, Eva Longoria Baston, Bad Robot and P!nk were among them. Many shared an image with the text, “I stand in solidarity with Texans & people everywhere seeking reproductive freedom.” The full list of the celebrities who support that sentiment is below; the vast majority of the signatories are women.
Washington also shared a link to a Planned Parenthood petition which, among other things, maintains that “health care — including safe, legal abortion — is a human right.

Life on a concert tour is notoriously unhealthy — whether you’re the artist, a backup dancer, or a member of the crew. Work is long, hours weird, and travel incessant; meanwhile, pressures and anxieties are high, booze is everywhere, gym access is mostly nonexistent, and healthy food options are hard to come by. And yet, the show must go on and on.
Live music experts, who’ve spent a year without steady income, know they must return to work. That doesn’t mean they are willing to return to business as usual.

We can already tell that Netflix's final To All the Boys film, Always and Forever, is going to be an absolute delight. On Wednesday, the romantic trailer dropped, and it's giving us all the feels. For the first time in her high school career, 17-year-old valedictorian Veronica (Haley Lu Richardson) has flunked a test. That blue positive sign means she’s pregnant, and now she wants a redo — to become “Unpregnant,” in the words of director Rachel Lee Goldenberg (“Valley Girl”), who has a flair for the flip understatement. Goldenberg’s road-trip comedy, based on the novel by Jenni Hendriks and Ted Caplan, has no time for hemming and hawing. To obtain an abortion without her conservative parents’ permission, the popular blonde must make a 2,000-mile drive from Missouri to New Mexico in 48 hours, which, with Type-a aplomb, she calculates is doable if she stops only for bathroom breaks and, like, the actual procedure.
But Veronica’s plan for a speedy, super-secret abortion has one flaw: The only person able to chauffeur is her former best friend Bailey (Barbie Ferreira), a punkish screw-up who hasn...

Haley Lu Richardson in ‘Unpregnant’ Trailer Gives a Buddy Comedy Spin on Teen Abortion Drama (Video)
Though there’s already a very serious looking drama about teen abortion called “Never Rarely Sometimes Always” that opened this year, the first trailer for the new film “Unpregnant” starring Haley Lu Richardson gives a road trip, buddy comedy spin on the same story.
Richardson stars alongside Barbie Ferreira in a comedy coming to HBO Max in which Richardson plays a straight-a student and popular kids who enlists her more rebellious, former best friend (Ferreira) to get an abortion over 1,000 miles in New Mexico. Of course in this story, they end up on the run from the cops, in a stolen Trans-Am and even trying to jump aboard a moving train on their trip to get the procedure done.
“There’s an Albuquerque in Missouri? The law won’t let me get one without my parents knowing,” Richardson says in the trailer. “It’s my life, it’s my choice.

HBO Max is continuing to round out its original film programming, adding a fresh new comedy from “Valley Girl” remake filmmaker Rachel Lee Goldenberg and rising stars Haley Lu Richardson and Barbie Ferreira to its upcoming slate. “Unpregnant” puts a humorous spin on a tough, timely topic, but promises to do it with a generous dash of humor. The film’s first trailer offers a funny first look at a fresh take on the young adult novel of the same name, written by authors Jenni Hendriks (“How I Met Your Mother”) and Ted Caplan (music editor for “The Hate U Give” and “The Greatest Showman”).
The film follows Richardson’s Veronica, a Missouri teen who is shocked to discover she is pregnant, and who sets off on a road trip with her former best pal Bailey (Ferreira) in hopes of securing an abortion so that she can continue to pursue her Ivy League college dreams.

In addition, U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi will pay tribute to the late, great U.S. Representative John Lewis, a civil rights legend and longtime ally to the LGBTQ+ community.
The broadcast will also include musical performances by legendary Melissa Etheridge, Betty Who, Alex Newell, Shea Diamond and Robin S. Additional honorees and special guests will be announced in the coming weeks. The...

As the LGBTQ community and allies continue to celebrate Pride Month, Amazon Prime Video is setting a virtual fest of its own with “Pride Inside” June 27-28.
The fest, which will take place at PrimeVideoPrideInside.com, will support The Black AIDS Institute and the National Queer and Trans Therapists of Color Network. The fest will include performances by artists Betty Who, Vincint, The Aces and Greyson Chance. Drag icon Lady Bunny and RuPaul’s Drag Race alums Manila Luzon, Heidi N Closet, Monique Heart, Raja and Gia Gunn will also perform, teach makeup tutorials, and contribute to round-table conversations — which will certainly be a bit of shade.
Here’s how the virtual fest will work. The event will be totally immersive with a 360° environment and users will be able to create a profile that will allow them to invite up to nine friends to explore the festival together via peer-to-peer video.
