The cast of The White Lotus is enjoying some downtime while filming the new season of the hit series on location in Thailand.
On Saturday (April 6), Sam Nivola hopped on Instagram to share some photos of his costars Patrick Schwarzenegger and Sarah Catherine Hook on a boat.
Another famous friend who has not (yet?) been announced as a part of the cast was also there!
Keep reading to find out more…
In one of the photos, Patrick is soaking up the sun shirtless while Iris Apatow lays beside him in a bikini. At this moment, it does not appear that she is in the upcoming season of the Max show.
Other photos in the set show Patrick, Iris and Sarah sitting together on the boat. There’s also one of Patrick standing in the water.
“The pookinator is looking absolutely Fire tonight,” Sam cheekily captioned the post.

HBO in November 2022 announced a third season for The White Lotus, which will bring a new installment of the Mike White-created anthology series to screens.
The first installment, which premiered July 2021 and was set in Hawaii, was nominated for 20 Emmy Awards and won a leading 10, including for Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series. Season 2, set in Sicily, debuted October 30, 2022 and won five Emmys, including a repeat for Jennifer Coolidge.
When will The White Lotus Season 3 premiere?
Originally eyed to premiere in 2024, HBO boss Casey Bloys has said Season 3 will likely arrive in 2025, delayed be the Writers Guild and SAG-AFTRA strikes that shut down production through the heart of 2023. Season 3 of The White Lotus, to be set in Thailand after setting the action in Hawaii for Season 1 and Sicily for Season 2, is now slated to begin filming in and around Koh Samui, Phuket, and Bangkok in February 2024.

Leo Woodall won’t forget his time on set of The White Lotus season two anytime soon. The actor said this week his experience on the show felt like “one big holiday.”
“It was one of those shows where, because there were so many characters and so many storylines, there were so many days off,” Woodall told People, adding that the free time meant he and his co-stars spent a lot of time vacationing together.
Woodall played Jack in The White Lotus season two, a British boy who flirted with Haley Lu Richardson’s Portia and assisted his non-biological uncle Quentin (Tom Hollander) in a plan to murder Jennifer Coolidge’s Tanya. The second season of Mike White’s anthology show took place at a resort in Sicily, where the cast lived for several weeks during filming in 2022.
“It does feel like a world away now,” Woodall said of his time in Italy.

Jennifer Coolidge says it’s hard not to be jealous of The White Lotus season three casting news.
“I’m jealous of everyone that’s going. I just want to stress I’m not a good sport about it, but there’s nothing I can do,” she told Today this week.
Coolidge’s fan-favorite White Lotus character, Tanya, was also one of the only characters to appear in both seasons one and two, and won Emmys for both performances. Unfortunately, Tanya met a tragic demise at the end of season two.
“When they kill you, you have to accept it,” she continued. “Because it means they’re not calling for your costume sizes or anything. It’s over! I have to get another thing. I have to make another thing happen, I guess.”

Actor Julian Kostov is joining HBO’s The White Lotus, replacing Miloš Biković in the show’s cast.
Kostov (Shadow and Bone) will recur in the show’s third season, which is set to begin filming in Thailand this month. He joins the cast after HBO “decided to part ways” with Biković, following public criticism from Ukraine’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs over Biković’s seeming support for Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
In a Jan. 24 social media post, the ministry wrote, “HBO, is it all right for you to work with a person who supports genocide & violates international law?” over a video clip of statements Biković has made about Ukraine and the annexation of Crimea. The Serbia-born actor has worked in Russia for the past decade; he received an award from Russian leader Vladimir Putin in 2018 and became a Russian citizen in 2021.

“The White Lotus” Season 3 has added Julian Kostov to its cast.
Kostov will appear in a recurring role in the HBO series that was previously held by Miloš Biković. Biković was recently cut from the series, however, over his support of Russia and Russian President Vladimir Putin in the country’s war against Ukraine.

So what actually happened to Meghann Fahy’s Daphne Sullivan after a Sicilian summer trip that yielded a dead body in the water?
“She keeps doing what’s she’s doing,” Fahy told Deadline at the Sundance studio about her posh, sexually free, no-rules-abiding wife of Cameron Sullivan (Theo James); a couple who get into the heads of the Spillers, played by Will Sharpe and Aubrey Plaza in season 2 of the HBO multi-Emmy winning show. Fahy is here in Park City, Ut with the Melissa Barrera midnight section movie, Your Monster.
But more to the point, Fahy tells us don’t expect Daphne to get on a plane to Thailand where season 3 is set at another White Lotus property. That cast for the Mike White anthology series includes Walton Goggins, Aimee Lou Wood, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Sarah Catherine Hook, Sam Nivola, Leslie Bibb, Jason Isaacs, Michelle Monaghan, Carrie Coon, Parker Posey,...

If you watched the Season Two finale of The White Lotus, you know what happened to Jennifer Coolidge’s frazzled, impossibly wealthy Tanya. As she accepted her second Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series on Monday, she gave audiences a reminder of her laugh-out-loud death scene: “He says I’m definitely dead, so I’m going along with it.”

This article contains major spoilers for "Eileen."
A lot of people know what they want when they buy a ticket to see a movie, or buy it on physical media, or click on a title in the streaming service of their choice. If it looks like a romantic comedy, they expect a romantic comedy, and they're likely to be disappointed if they get something else instead. This is where the concept of genre comes from, the desire to categorize films based on tangible qualities, so the audiences in the mood for certain storytelling or artistic styles can find what they're looking for. It's comforting to have at least some idea of what you're going to get, even if you don't know how exactly you are going to get it.
But then there are films like William Oldroyd's "Eileen."

Finally, we’re entering into the first weekend of the final month of 2023. So naturally many of the films hitting the multiplex have the big holiday at the end of December as a setting or backdrop. Of course, they’re all upbeat celebrations full of family togetherness. Well, not always as proven a few weeks ago with the release of one of the year’s best films, The Holdovers. It’s a dark comedy centering on a split family ignoring a son. So indeed it is a bit dark, compared to this weekend’s flick, which is nearly pitch-black, closer to a film noir than comedy. And it’s a tragic drama as we observe the dismal life of a young woman named Eileen.
Right at the start of this tale, we’re introduced to Eileen (Thomasin McKenzie), a lonely woman in her twenties living in the Boston area around sixty years ago.

Leonard Bernstein and Felicia Montealegre’s children Nina Maria Felicia Bernstein, Jamie Bernstein and Alexander Bernstein are opening up about how much their mother knew about their father’s bisexuality.
In an interview with CBS Sunday Morning, Bradley Cooper and correspondent Mo Rocca sat down with the three kids to discuss Netflix’s upcoming film Maestro, which Cooper starred in, directed and co-wrote with Josh Singer.
“Our mom was the most elegant, delicious person,” Nina said. Jamie added, “She knew exactly what the deal was.” Alexander chimed in, “They, obviously, loved each other to death. They never fought in front of us. We never saw any darkness. We felt a lot. They kept everything very well tidied and pretty well hidden.”
The segment explained that while Bernstein and Montealeagre truly loved each other, their relationship was complicated by the fact that the legendary composer had affairs with men over the course of their marriage.

Bradley Cooper embodies Leonard Bernstein in the new trailer for Maestro, the actor-director’s acclaimed biopic about the legendary composer and his lifelong relationship with Felicia Montealegre, played by Carey Mulligan.
Following its teaser trailer this summer, the latest preview further highlights the painstaking (and somewhat controversial) level of detail that Cooper brought to the film, which is divided into both black-and-white (to show flashbacks of Bernstein and Montealegre’s life) and almost cinema verite-style color footage to document the composer’s later years.

Netflix has released the full-length trailer for Bradley Cooper’s forthcoming Leonard Bernstein biopic, Maestro, ahead of its limited November 22nd release in theaters. Watch the clip below.
Fully showcasing the five-hour sessions that Cooper spent in makeup to play the American composer, the trailer centers around the evolution of Bernstein’s decades-long partnership with Felicia Montealegre Cohn Bernstein (Carey Mulligan), portraying in black-and-white the early years of their relationship. As Bernstein becomes “the first great American conductor,” it’s clear his partner pays the price.
The clip also hints at Bernstein’s struggles with sexual identity and various infidelities throughout his marriage. Near the end of the trailer, Cooper says, “I love people so much it’s hard for me to be alone. And music, it keeps glued to life.”
Maestro was directed by Cooper from a script he co-wrote with Josh Singer, while Martin Scorsese and Steven Spielberg served as producers.

Not only is this Cooper’s sophomore outing as a director, it’s also his second venture into the world of music and the artists behind it. In addition to directing, Cooper co-wrote the script with Josh Singer. Singer spoke of the film via Netflix’s Tudum, “I think people will see the complexity of marriage and the many forms love can take. I think those are both powerful themes.” The teaser debuted in August, and Cooper faced a bit of a backlash due to his prosthetic nose for the character drawing controversy.

Bradley Cooper and Carey Mulligan bring Leonard Bernstein and Felicia Montealegre to life in the first official trailer for “Maestro,” premiering in limited theaters on Nov. 22 and arriving on Netflix Dec. 20.
In the trailer, Cooper and Mulligan travel through time as the couple experiences love, betrayal and music. The movie encompasses Bernstein’s professional life but glosses over his commercial achievements in favor of focusing on his complicated relationship with Montealegre.
“If summer doesn’t sing in you then nothing sings in you,” Cooper says at the beginning of the trailer as an old man, gently playing the piano. Later on in the trailer, but depicting the young couple decades before, Mulligan finishes the sentence: “And if nothing sings in you, then you can’t make music.”

The Eileen trailer indicates the film’s dark tone and 1960s location, as well as a seductive and brutal story.
New details about Neon’s next thriller, which stars Anne Hathaway and Thomasin McKenzie, are revealed in the first trailer for Eileen. Eileen, directed by William Oldroyd, is based on Ottessa Moshfegh’s book of the same name. The plot follows McKenzie’s titular young prison worker as his life turns dark after Hathaway’s Rebecca begins working as a psychologist at the same jail.
Eileen | Official Trailer
The trailer for Eileen carefully creates a feeling of mystery, yet the bits seen and the dramatic soundtrack reveal that the women are on a deadly path. It effortlessly conveys a sense of dread and some of the trouble that fills Moshfegh’s story.
In the latest trailer for the psychological thriller, mild-mannered Thomasin McKenzie suffers an extreme transition when she meets Anne Hathaway.
