“Reacher” Season 3 is scoring buff ratings on Amazon Prime Video, as the streamer says it has commanded 54.6 million viewers globally in its first 19 days.

In that window, it’s the most-watched returning season ever on Prime Video, with a 0.5% uptick from Season 2 viewership. “Reacher” Season 3 is also the most-watched season on Prime Video since “Fallout” in its first 19 days.

Plus, more than half of “Reacher’s” audience is based internationally, with outsized performance in the U.K., Germany and Brazil, Amazon says.

As Amazon did not detail exactly what counts as a “view,” it should be noted that streaming viewership numbers self-reported by platforms still come with many caveats. Some brands solely report total minutes or hours watched, while others divide that total by each projects runtime to arrive at an estimated number of views. Streamers almost never disclose the exact number of viewers who watched the entirety of their titles.

In addition to being the most-watched returning season for a Prime Video show, “Reacher” Season 3 is also the most-watched season on the service since “Fallout” Season 1 for the 19-day period.

Based on Lee Child’s novels, “Reacher” is written for television by showrunner Nick Santora and is produced by Amazon MGM Studios, Skydance Television, and CBS Studios.

Season 3, which pulls from the 2003 book “Persuader”, sends star Alan Ritchson’s righteous drifter to Maine, where he gets pulled into an investigation by a local DEA agent — and runs into a foe from his past.

Season three of Reacher grabbed its biggest audience to date over its first two-plus weeks of release, according to internal figures from Amazon. The show brought in 54.6 million viewers worldwide in the 19 days after its Feb. 20 premiere — a slight uptick from season two over the same amount of time — to become the biggest returning series (i.e., season two or later) in the streamer’s records.

Amazon further says Reacher season three is Prime Video’s biggest premiere since Fallout brought in 65 million viewers over its first 16 days in April 2024. Only that show and season one of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power had more viewers over a similar time frame.

The 19-day period includes the first five episodes of Reacher’s third season; the sixth debuted early Thursday.

Reacher Season 3 is now the most-watched returning season of television ever on Prime Video, according to Amazon.

In its first 19 days, the third season has amassed 54.6M global viewers, which marks a very slight (0.5%) uptick from Season 2. Per Amazon, 56% of that audience is based internationally with particularly strong performance in UK, Germany, and Brazil.

The third season of Reacher is also the most-watched season of television on Prime Video at all since Fallout in the 19-day window.

It is no surprise that Reacher continues to perform well for Amazon. The second season came out swinging at the end of 2023, with the first three episodes surpassing the entire Season 1 audience by 50% in the first three days on the streamer.

More data on Season 3’s performance will be available in the coming weeks, when Nielsen begins releasing reports for February 20 and beyond. However, that’ll only give more context for the U.

The country star and 1883 vet has stepped down from his leading role in Netflix’s upcoming bull-riding drama, according to our sister site Deadline. The exit is due to injury: McGraw hurt himself on tour and had to undergo orthopedic surgery on both knees, with a back surgery still scheduled that will require recovery time. Exclusive: Emmy Award nominee Joseph Lee has been cast as a series regular in the Apple TV+ series Neuromancer, a new 10-episode drama based on the award-winning novel of the same name by William Gibson.

He joins the previously announced Callum Turner and Briana Middleton. Lee will portray the character Hideo, who in the novel is a ninja bodyguard.

Created for television by Graham Roland and Jd Dillard, Neuromancer follows a damaged, top-rung super-hacker named Case (Turner) who is thrust into a web of digital espionage and high-stakes crime with his partner Molly (Middleton), a razor-girl assassin with mirrored eyes, aiming to pull a heist on a corporate dynasty with untold secrets.

A co-production between Skydance Television, Anonymous Content and Apple Studios, Neuromancer will also be produced by Drake’s DreamCrew Entertainment. Roland will serve as showrunner and Dillard is set to direct the pilot episode.

There is no word yet on which of Lee Child’s Jack Reacher novels Season 4 will adapt.

It was reported last month that a popular side character from Prime Video’s Reacher was in the works to get her own spin-off. Now, Deadline is reporting that the Frances Neagley-focused series has officially been ordered at Amazon. The show, tentatively titled Neagley will star Maria Sten as the titular character. The character of Neagley is a corporate security professional and former military colleague of Jack Reacher (Alan Ritchson) in the Army’s 110th Special Investigations Unit. It is also being reported that Ritchson is set to appear in the spinoff as a guest star, reprising his role as Reacher.

Prime Video has officially picked up a spinoff of its action drama centered on Jack Reacher’s (Alan Ritchson) former military colleague and sometime collaborator Frances Neagley. Maria Sten, who has appeared in both seasons of Reacher thus far (and will also be part of season three), will continue the role in the currently untitled spinoff.
