Spoiler Alert: This post contains details of tonight’s Blue Bloods Season 11 finale.
“The thing is though that quality goes for everyone at this table on any given day, we’re really a whole family of black sheep,” says the Tom Selleck portrayed NYPD Commissioner Frank Reagan at the family dinner closing tonight’s Blue Bloods Season 11 finale.
Coming off a two-hour season ender that saw the surprise return and near exit of prodigal grandson Joe Hill (Will Hochman), plus the Reagan clan reopening old wounds over the loss of Joe’s father in action all those years ago, the CBS cop drama took on greater and deeper scope that usual this time round.
And, after a 16-episode season finding its footing through Covid and subsequent safety protocols, there was a reason for that for the Selleck, Bridget Moynahan, Will Estes, Vanessa Ray, Donnie Wahlberg, Maria Ramirez, Andrew Terraciano and Len Cariou starring series.

Hey, "Blue Bloods" fans. Unfortunately, it's one of those times again where we have to inform you that your favorite show is about to take a small hiatus. However, this one won't last for too long, especially since we're close to the end of season 9. So, here's the deal. We have been informed that the next, new episode 20 will not be airing next Friday night, April 19,2019. No, no, no. Instead, CBS has scheduled it to air on Friday night, April 26, 2019 in its same 9pm central standard time slot. So, be sure to mark that very important date down on your TV show calendars. We don't have an exact reason for why they're doing this. We just know that they are. We're guessing it probably has something to do with scheduling. CBS probably wants the season finale to land on a certain night in May 2019. So, they're skipping a week to make sure that happens.

Spoiler Alert: This story contains details of tonight’s Blue Bloods Season 8 finale.
Blue Bloods has long been and will continue to be one of my favorite Big 4 series and tonight’s Season 8 finale of the Tom Selleck led NYPD family drama served to confirm that opinion. In lieu of the traditional cliffhanger, the end of this season of the already renewed show brought resolution and depth at a point when most procedurals are barely doing much than hoping to go through the motions
Perhaps what worked best for me in tonight’s ‘My Aim Is True’ was how old wounds were opened up to show us new facets of already established characters like the Magnum P.I. alum’s Commissioner Frank Reagan. An arch that moved to show how deep Blue Bloods’ bench is besides its lead as the show simultaneously enlarger the multi-generational cop clan with a love for...
