Review: Back in 1997, I was a high school kid playing video games on my Nintendo 64 and my PC. I loved games like Command & Conquer: Red Alert, the original Diablo, and Fallout. Fallout grabbed me from the opening cinematic, showing a 1950s-style television and retro music as the camera pulled back to showcase a nuclear-blasted apocalyptic landscape. I was hooked, and in the decades since, I have waited patiently for someone to deliver a worthy adaptation. As video...

The Prime Video TV series adaptation of the popular Fallout video game franchise won’t begin streaming until April 12th, but season 2 of the show is already moving forward. While the first season was primarily filmed in New York (with some filming also taking place in Utah), Variety reports that the production will be moving to California for the next sequel. That’s not to take advantage of filming locations there, but rather to get a tax break. The California Film Commission just awarded $152 million in tax incentives to a dozen different TV shows, and Fallout is on the list. For filming the next season in California, the show will receive $25 million in California tax credits.
The budget for the show is quite large, as Variety notes that it has $153 million in qualified expenditures for the season.

It's finally happening: we're getting another season of Severance.
Who knew a cliffhanger could keep us on the edge of our seats for nearly two years? It takes a crackpot writing team and a stellar cast to elicit the kind of response that the season one finale got out of its fanbase, and boy, does Severance deliver on both fronts.
The news we've all been anxiously waiting for is here. Season two is coming, and it's sure to be a doozy.
It may be because this millennial's first introduction to Ben Stiller was his three-film stint as Greg Focker, but his directorial deftness still exceeds expectations.
Plus, with a cast teeming with industry legends, it's no surprise that Apple TV was more than happy to gift us another season. So, without further ado, here's everything we know about what's to come for our friends at Lumon Industries.

Like many productions last year, Severance season 2 was brought to a halt due to the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes, but Ben Stiller took to X this morning to announce that filming has finally resumed.

Severance stars Adam Scott as Mark Scout, who leads a team at Lumon Industries “whose employees have undergone a severance procedure, which surgically divides their memories between their work and personal lives. This daring experiment in ‘work-life balance’ is called into question as Mark finds himself at the center of an unraveling mystery that will force him to confront the true nature of his work… and of himself.”
Patricia Arquette, John Turturro, Britt Lower, Zach Cherry, Dichen Lachman, Jen Tullock, Tramell Tillman, Michael Chernus, and Christopher Walken have all returned for the new season, with a few new additions as well.

Severance is “Back to work.” Director and executive producer Ben Stiller took to Instagram this morning to confirm that the Apple TV+ drama series had returned to production after a months-long delay due to the Hollywood strikes.
Stiller’s Instagram post, captioned “Back to work,” features a black-and-white photo of star Adam Scott running through what appears to be a hallway at Lumon Industries.
Severance had paused production on Season 2 in May when the WGA went on strike, which was then followed by the SAG-AFTRA walkout. With both strikes long resolved, production is now back on course.

Welcome back to Lumon.
“Severance” Season 2 has returned to production, which was delayed for months due to the Hollywood strikes.
Season 2 of the popular Apple TV+ thriller stopped shooting in May 2023 when the Writers Guild of America first went on strike against the studios represented by the AMPTP. The writers strike ended on Sept. 26, but by that point, SAG-AFTRA was 74 days into a strike of its own. Now that SAG-AFTRA has also reached a deal with the studios, everyone in Hollywood is cleared to go back to work, and “Severance” is back on track.

Fans of the video game seem to be happy about the tone, the production design, and the action in Prime Video’s first teaser trailer Fallout. And equally important, viewers who’ve never even heard of the video game seem to be into the teaser trailer’s vibe.
“Based on one of the greatest video game series of all time, Fallout is the story of haves and have-nots in a world in which there’s almost nothing left to have,” reads Prime Video’s synopsis. “Two-hundred years after the apocalypse, the gentle denizens of luxury fallout shelters are forced to return to the irradiated hellscape their ancestors left behind—and are shocked to discover an incredibly complex, gleefully weird, and highly violent universe waiting for them.”

Grab your Wazer Wifle and your emergency stash of RadAway, because it's time to head out into the Wasteland of Prime Video's "Fallout" TV series. Based on the long-running video game franchise of the same name, "Fallout" is set in the post-apocalyptic landscape of what used to be America, but has since been reduced to rubble and toxic waste by nuclear war. Set in the year 2296, more than two centuries after the bombs dropped, the TV adaptation of "Fallout" was developed by Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, the creative team behind HBO's "Westworld."
The first teaser trailer for "Fallout" has debuted during a panel at Ccxp 2023. Dialogue is minimal, but the vibes more than make up for that, with the teaser highlighting many hallmarks of the games: the snazzy blue-and-yellow jumpsuits worn by surviving humans in the vaults, the noseless features of The Ghoul, the heavy-duty army of the Brotherhood of Steel -- and,...

Amazon’s Prime Video has released the first teaser for Fallout, its series based on the hugely popular video game franchise.
The 2 1/2-minute teaser (watch it below), unveiled at the Ccxp convention in São Paulo, showcases the scale of the game and several darkly comedic moments, with a tone set by a title card noting it’s from “the studio behind The Boys … and free 2-day shipping” and Nat King Cole’s “I Don’t Want to See Tomorrow” providing the soundtrack.
Fallout is set 200 years after a nuclear apocalypse — also partly depicted in the teaser — and follows the “gentle denizens of luxury fallout shelters,” who are forced back into the harsh world they’ve kept at bay.
