The Filipino singer and Glee guest star formerly known as Charice Pempengco now goes by the new name, Jake Zyrus.
Zyrus, 25, debuted the new moniker on Twitter and Instagram Sunday — almost three years after revealing to Oprah Winfrey that “my soul is male.”
Since rising to international stardom in late 2007, the Tagaytay native became the first Asian solo singer in history to land in the Top 10 of the Billboard 200 albums chart with the release of 2010’s Charice, which debuted at No. 8.
Since the episode of Winfrey’s Where Are They Now? aired in October 2014, Zyrus has kept a low-profile — until now.

A former flame to Eddie Redmayne’s brilliant Magizoologist, Lestrange is poised to have a strong, compelling arc in Fantastic Beasts 2, and Kravitz has assured Potterheads that the David Yates-directed sequel will lend Lestrange “a lot of time to grow and develop” when it roars into theaters late next year.

"Talk less": That's what Jackie Chan's character says in Railroad Tigers when his fellow fighters ask him for a stirring speech prior to their final assault on their Japanese enemies. More than just the rugged renegade's advice about actions speaking louder than words, the motto is perhaps director-screenwriter Ding Sheng's conclusion as to what works best for his veteran Hong Kong star these days.
In their third collaboration in six years, the director and star have left behind the morals and moral dilemmas anchoring their 2010 swordsman comedy Little Big Soldier and the more somber Police Story 2013. Revolving around a...

Gogglebox is finally back – and all of your favourite telly watchers wasted no time getting tucked in on the week's hot-button topics.
We bring the best Twitter chatter about the Gogglebox crew breaking down the Syrian refugee crisis, cringing at an awkward First Date and wondering about Stephen Fry's "wife":
1. Refugees. Gogglebox tackled refugees!
Gogglebox vicar to her husband: I've signed a form to say I'll take a family (of refugees). "Have you?". Of course, what else am I gonna do?
— Sophie Long (@SophieLong01) September 11, 2015
#Gogglebox What does Ukip man have to say about humanitarian efforts to help refugees? Massive empathy I'm sure...
— James A (@ExeterDormouse) September 11, 2015
Haha I'd love to see Gogglebox film my dads views on the refugees he's not as diplomatic as these on here
— Kristian Iceton (@KristianIceton) September 11, 2015
Gogglebox already annoying me, there is a difference between migrants and refugees. Educate yourselves!

Amid the growing call for gender equality in Hollywood, Academy Award winner Reese Witherspoon has been quietly leading the charge for women and the work they create – including herself. Toiling under the production banner Pacific Standard Films, Witherspoon and her producing partner, Bruna Papandrea have been the driving force behind films such as Gone Girl and Wild – both of which have arguably played a significant role in challenging the status quo regarding high profile female-led projects. The pair has now added a further title to their vast slate – Cold – which, though written by a man, will star and be produced by Witherspoon. This continues her apparent determination to create her own opportunities both onscreen and off, and to bring strong female-led stories to theatres.

NBC still has "Big" plans for Ellen DeGeneres. The press release mentions "pint-sized breakdancers" and "5-year-old piano virtuosos" and says that these exceptional children will performance and also go head-to-head with Harvey in conversations and interviews. In addition to DeGeneres and Harvey, "Little Big Shots" will be executive produced by Jeff Kleeman and Gerald Washington for Warner Horizon Television, East 112th Street Productions and A Very Good Production. With Play Blackpool only a day or so away, we’re getting excited for our second trip to a Play convention (we attended last years Manchester event, which was a fantastic success) but, of course, there are some folks who’ll need a little more persuading as to just why they should attend such an event – if not for the experience alone…
1) The Games (of course)
Play Blackpool 2015 features an exclusive first UK hands on preview of SkySaga: Infinite Isles. Which, for retro-gaming fans, is the welcome return of the ‘The Oliver Twins’ who, in the 1980s, developed several hugely successful franchises including the ‘Dizzy’ adventures and the ‘Simulator’ series. Chief Technical Officer Andrew Oliver will also give a developer talk and take part in a Q&A session about the game and its progress.
Also at Play will be a PS4 Zone, featuring loads of cool Psn titles such...
