In August of 2020 she and two men were arrested by police in Florida in connection with the murder of Raul Guillen, whose body was found buried near the Alabama border. He had been shot to death. She was charged with being a principal to first-degree murder, in that she assisted in the commission of the murder and was present when it was committed but was not charged with the actual commission of the murder itself. In a plea deal, she agreed to testify against her boyfriend, William Shane Parker whom prosecutors believe actually committed the murder. She then pleaded no contest of being an accessory after the fact to second-degree murder in October 2021 and was sentenced to 10 years in prison. She will be subject to five years of felony probation after her release.
