Peter Mastne began his acting career in Chicago, where he studied acting and Improv at the Vagabond theater and Second City. He moved to Los Angeles in 2017 where he made several guest star and co star appearances in various true crime shows and landed his first recurring role on Investigation Discovery's hit show Homicide Hunter in May 2019, playing Detective Skip Arms.
