Born and raised in Toronto, Ontario, Matthew Gouveia is a Dora-nominated actor. He was one of eight actors chosen for the Actors Conservatory at Norman Jewison's Canadian Film Centre and is also a graduate of the Humber College Theatre Performance program. He is most known for his work in 'Killer Joe' at the Coal Mine Theatre in 2016. Gouveia has made various appearances on television networks such as Amazon, CBS, Starz, Syfy and CBC/UKTV. He has also worked on multiple feature films and has played leading roles in many short films which have garnered official selections and awards at film festivals around the world, one of which including the HollyShorts Film Festival in Hollywood, California. He has lent his voice to animation, audio books, commercials and currently in a soon-to-be-released video game by Ubisoft.
