Gustavo begins his career in the theater when he was just 22 years old while studying Humanities at the University of Puerto Rico. He then moves to Madrid to study film direction and production at Septima Ars.
In Madrid he did two short films in 16mm: ¨Negro¨ y ¨Frame¨. Among other video-clips, and video-arts his experimental video proposal, ¨Madrid¨, gets him to be selected to participate at the Gijon Film Festival.
Back in Puerto Rico, Gustavo produces and edits "En la Malla", a TV mini series for Channel 6. The series was aired through various TV channels around the United States. (New York, Miami Chicago).
In 2011, in collaboration with Jose Luis Ramos Escobar he writes the script for a movie about the mythical salsa orchestra ¨La Sonora Ponceña¨.
In the last few years he's been producing sports documentaries, and has directed a few TV commercials.
In 2016 he wins the Puerto Rico Film Commission's national competition to produce and direct his first feature film ¨El Chata¨.
His unique story-telling style and his visual proposals, combined with his methodical way of directing actors and his obsession for structure, puts us in front of a young talent who will be telling stories for a long time.
