Ithoi Oinam is an Indian actress who appears in Manipuri cinema, known for her compelling performances in films such as It's Not My Choice (2015), Larei Lathup (2021), Spaced Out - Panthung Di Kadaaida! (2021), Tharoi Ahambei Mahao (2022), and Nongmei Paiba Rapist (2022).
She began her acting journey at a very young age, making her first significant appearance as a child actor in Chan-Thoibi (2009), a film directed by 11-year-old Priyakanta Laishram. Ithoi gained further recognition in 2014 with the music video album Haakhinu Thamoi, directed by Hemanta Khuman marking her debut as a grown-up actress.
Her breakthrough role came in the award-winning film It's Not My Choice (2015), where her portrayal of an LGBTQ ally earned her critical acclaim. The film, directed by Priyakanta Laishram, made history in 2024 as the first Indian short film to be adapted into Thai.
In 2022, Ithoi achieved significant milestones, winning Best Actress in a Lead Role at the SSS Manifa 2023 for Nongmei Paiba Rapist and Best Actor (Female) at the Manipur State Film Awards 2023 for Tharoi Ahambei Mahao.
As the daughter of the late filmmaker and comedian Oinam Sanou and Oinam Sushila, Ithoi has upheld her family's artistic legacy while establishing herself as a leading figure in Manipuri cinema.
