Isabel Lysiak is a 20 year old SAG actress who lives in Los Angeles.
At just 10 years old, she became the youngest paid advice columnist after pitching her work to her local newspaper, The Sunbury Daily Item.Her work was featured in Pink News, the New York Times, New York Daily News, CCN News 8, WKOK Drew and the Crew, the Mark Lawrence Show. She was also profiled by Kidz World. In addition to The Daily Item, she began working as a staff writer for the Pennsylvania based magazine Monroe Living. Shortly after, she decided to team up with her sister Hilde Lysiak, and create a newspaper of their own called The Orange Street News.
At just 10 years old, Isabel created all of the OSN's breaking news videos. When a murder broke out in their small town, and they were the first to arrive at the crime scene, the breaking news video she made went viral.
Eventually, Isabel was awarded for her work at the Disruptive Innovator Awards from the Tribeca Film Festival. At the award show she gave a speech that Joy Gorman(producer of Thirteen Reasons Why) saw and afterwards approached her about creating a show based off her family's story. The show Home Before Dark on Apple TV+ is based off the newspaper Isabel, and her sister created. Isabel (Izzy) Lysiak is Izzy Lysko on the show, which is portrayed by Kylie Rogers. After being on set and closely watching successful actors, she realized acting was a passion of her own. She began taking acting classes, and moved to California. Since, she has starred in many films, and has even dabbled in theatre. Her most recent work was a lead role in horror film Candlewood, which will be coming soon!
