Tone Swep
- Executive
Tone Swep is an American writer-producer, media publisher, and creative executive. He has been active in the creation, development, and publishing of independent media since his teens as a writer for the black-owned Sacramento Observer. Swep is the CXO of TS.ELEET, a creative content and venture consultancy based in the Downtown Los Angeles Arts District (DTLA).
As a screenwriter, Swep has written and developed motion projects for film and television producers Tracey Baker-Simmons and Wanda Shelley of B2 Entertainment; Abbi Shabazz, David Ellis, and Tony Simmons of High School for Recording Arts; Will Packer and Rob Hardy of Rainforest Films; Dave Phillips and Tracey Edmonds of Edmonds Ent; and Grand Hustle's Jason Geter, this after working at 40 Acres and a Mule Filmworks' west coast development under Spike Lee.
Swep produced the "Summer Sessions" web series with then tech giant Mobli. The show fused music artists, actors, and social media stars with magazine glam shoots and mobile tech. Broadcast directly to the photo/video sharing app's over 40 million active users, the series was filmed on location at a studio beach house in Venice, California. Mobli seed capital investors included Serena Williams, Leonardo DiCaprio, Tobey Maguire, Carlos Slim, and Lance Armstrong.
Swep was one of six co-authors of the LinkedIn eBook 22 Digital Growth Strategies. The read was mass distributed to the social networking service's more than 106 million active users, and was later made available to all readers outside the platform via free download.
Swep is widely known for having created, owned, and headed the global media outlets Pure DOPE and LOOT & RIOT. He was the Global Head of The LOOT & RIOT Rich Rebellion Company - a streetwise creative consultancy, autograph outlet, and media agency - until early 2021 when Covid-19 restrictions on engagement marketing compelled its closure. Swep then founded TS.ELEET - an acronym for Everyone Loves Everything Except Themselves - later the same year. TS.ELEET is a creative content and venture consultancy which includes an artistic direction division called When Clouds Bleed Diamonds (WCBD).
