Ivan Kirkov was born on August 30, 1983 in Stara Zagora. He graduated from Romain Rolland High School with English and French. He then studied at the University of National and World Economy Sofia and later went to Austria and studied at the Vienna University of Economics and Business (Wirtschaftsuniversitaet Wien). In 2011, his interest in the comedy flare up and begins to take part in stand-up dinners in clubs in Vienna, and later returns to found the first company to produce a stand-up comedy in Sofia and Bulgaria. In 2012, Ivan founded Comedy.BG, which organizes the annual comedy festival in Sofia. His work with Balkan-born Marina Orsag, Nikola Silic, Alexander Perisic, has been a reflection of his rapid development as a comedian and producer. Ivan Kirkov received the best admiration for the Adria Region for 2014 at the Skopje comic awards ceremony. That same year he founded his biggest and first-ever comedy show, Open Mic. The meeting of Ivan Kirkov with his longtime stage partner - the residence in Comedy Club Sofia - Vasil Nozharov is a key moment for the stand-up comedy in Bulgaria. The company, owned by Ivan Kirkov - Comedy.BG, organizes the annual comedy awards of Bulgaria. End of 2015 Ivan Kirkov opens the first fully-sided comedy club in Sofia - The Comedy Club Sofia, where he is a comedian resident with Nikola Todoroski and Vasil Nozharov.
