In Barry Katz's world, a blown-out knee is funny. Katz, who heads New Wave Entertainment's talent management division, is producing "Dumbbells," a buddy comedy about a college basketball star who blows out his knee and gets a job working at a dumpy Los Angeles gym. The basketball player, who has NBA dreams, learns the true meaning of life at the gym. Brian Drolet (MTV's "Disaster Date," "2 Dudes and a Dream") wrote the movie and stars.
