Twitter is being sued by the Brazilian government for tipping off motorists about police speed traps and roadblocks. The social networking site has been accused of undermining the country's efforts to tackle drink-driving, BBC News reports. Brazil's authorities are demanding that Twitter removes the accounts providing the warnings. The firm will be fined 500,000 reals (£183,000) for each day that it does not comply with the order.
